Easy Homemade Muesli Bars – Snack

Snack 7 Feature

NUT AND EGG FREE

Makes 10 bars, Prep time 20mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of Puffed Wheat or Milled
  • 1 Cups of oats or untoasted muesli
  • 1 Cups of seeds, nuts, coconut, dried cranberries, chopped dates, chopped dried apricots,
    • (you can choose a combination of these and then decide on the proportions according to your preference)
      • 1/2 cup of honey2/3 cup of unhulled tahini

Method:

  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • In a separate microwave safe bowl place honey and tahini, microwave until melted and easily mixed together.
  • Add honey and tahini mix to the dry ingredients and mix well (the mix should be sticky).
  • Line a shallow oven tray with baking paper or AL-foil (I find it sticks to my baking paper), and press out until smooth.
  • Use a hot spoon (put a spoon in boiling water for a few seconds) to press the mixture down until tightly packed and firm.
  • Bake on a low heat (about 150) until golden.
  • Wait until they are completely cold before cutting into bars.
