Top 10 best Mother’s Day gift ideas | Unique gifts for Mum!
Always on the look out for a unique Mother’s Day Gift idea, we have compiled a list of fabulous ideas that you can get your mum this Sunday 10 May 2020 to show her how much you care. Say goodbye to the chocolates and flowers (or get those as well) and hello to unique gift ideas that have showed you have put some thought into her special day. Mother’s are special – it doesn’t matter if they are a single parent or belong to a huge family… it’s time to make them feel loved!
In no particular order – mostly cause I wrote this at 6am in the morning and was too lazy to consider how to group these… our Top 10 Unique Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for 2021.
1. Pamper package in Brisbane
Let’s all agree right now, that being a mum is hard work! 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the minute she fell pregnant, your mum has probably been thinking about you or doing something for you. I know this ratio changes as the kids get older and become adults themselves, but if you count up the hours, days, weeks, months that she has put your needs above her own, she deserves way more than a medal.
So grab her a pamper package for a unique Mother’s Day gift that will let her relax for at least an hour (it barely seems enough so best grab those aforementioned chocolates and flowers too!) or really splash out and get her a whole day spa. Local nail salons are great for a quick hour pedicure or you could book in something more flash like a spa treatment at Stephanie’s Retreat – locations in Bulimba, Cleveland, Sofitel (city), Clear Mountain and Noosa. Find out more here.
If you’d like to take her to one of many delightful Gold Coast spas instead, you can find that information here.

2. Get crafty with Mum in Brisbane
One of our favourite small businesses in Brisbane is the unique ‘Hands on Brisbane’. The offer art, craft and design workshops that provide a fantastic opportunity for people to learn new skills. You can showcase your talent and add extra creativity to Brisbane.
Located centrally at The Gardens Club on Gardens Point Rd in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. They are right behind the QUT Theatre and close to the River Stage, they are easy to find in their beautiful location set to inspire!
You’ll be amazed at the variety of classes and workshops they offer – book yourself and your mum in for a half day out with a difference. Click here to see their upcoming classes.

5. Throw Mum out of a plane
OK… maybe don’t throw her out of a plane – it’s more like a jump really (yes, I have done this!). For adrenaline seeking mum’s why not give mum the opportunity to go sky diving, right here in Brisbane. Sky-diving in Brisbane can be found in a few different places.
We also like this sky-diving experience on the Sunshine Coast!
