High Tea for Mother’s Day in Brisbane 2023

Whilst a number of Brisbane’s major venues are offering special events for Mother’s Day in Brisbane, we have listed here only the high teas (not breakfasts, brunches, lunches or dinners). We’ve also listed other venues that we consider ‘hidden treasures’ tucked away in the suburbs which may surprise and delight you.

1. Mother’s Day at Shingle Inn 2023

Celebrate Mother’s Day with High Tea at the Oldest & Most Loved Café in Brisbane; Shingle Inn. Established in 1936, Shingle Inn instantly developed a strong reputation with locals, renowned for its all-day menu, delicious coffee, high-tea, decadent sweet treats and famous cakes.

2. Mother’s Day High Tea at Balfour

This Mother’s Day enjoy a Champagne High Tea at Spicers Balfour Hotel’s award-winning restaurant, The Balfour Kitchen & Bar in the beautiful suburban oasis of New Farm.

Indulge in a selection of sweet and savoury treats prepared by Head Chef Lachy Horstman.

Price is $99 per person and includes a glass of Champagne on arrival.

There are two sittings on both Saturday 13 May and Sunday 14 May, 12pm and 1pm.

6. Mother’s Day High Tea at Devon Pixies Tea House | Logan Village 2023

High Tea is Devon Pixies speciality – celebrate, connect, and catch up with mum in style this Mother’s Day. Savour freshly baked scones served with organic strawberry jam, thick dollop cream, along with a traditional sandwich selection, and home baked cakes, slices, and other sweet treats.

7. Forget Me Not Cafe | Graceville 2023

  • Bookings available for multiple seatings between 10am – 2pm in the Cafe, with two hours allowed per seating.
  • Takeaway is available between 10am-12:30pm

Forget Me Not Café in Graceville can make your mother’s day extra special and memorable by offering High Tea in their café as well as take away to enjoy in your own home. The inhouse menu prices are $50 per person (includes beverage), and $55 per person for take-away.

8. Mother’s Day at Parliament House 2023

  • From 11:30am

Impress Mum with a sparkling high tea at Parliament House! High Tea is served on select TUESDAYS at the Stranger’s Dining Room and includes an optional tour of Parliament House. Your elegantly presented high tea is served to the accompanyment of live music, and costs from $55 per person.

Treat Mum this Mother’s Day to a “Spirit of Queensland” High Tea at the Stamford Plaza, as presented to Queen Elizabeth II on her most recent visit to Australia. Choose from standard ($59pp), with sparkling wine ($69pp) or with champagne ($79pp).
