High Tea for Mother’s Day in Brisbane 2021
Whilst a number of Brisbane’s major venues are offering special events for Mother’s Day in Brisbane, we have listed here only the high teas (not breakfasts, brunches, lunches or dinners). We’ve also listed other venues that we consider ‘hidden treasures’ tucked away in the suburbs which may surprise and delight you.
1. Mother’s Day at the oldest and most loved cafe in Brisbane
Celebrate Mother’s Day with High Tea at the Oldest & Most Loved Café in Brisbane; Shingle Inn. Established in 1936, Shingle Inn instantly developed a strong reputation with locals, renowned for its all-day menu, delicious coffee, high-tea, decadent sweet treats and famous cakes.
Today, the Shingle Inn exists relocated and restored within another Brisbane icon, City Hall, allowing future generations to experience the grandeur of Shingle Inn as it was over 80 years ago.

2. Mt Cotton Retreat – Mother’s Day High Tea
- 3 sessions available at 9.30am – 11.30am; 12noon – 2pm, 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Celebrate Mothers’ Day with High Tea at Mt Cotton Retreat. This intimate location, surrounded by bushland, is the perfect place to gather, chat, laugh and enjoy being together.
The menu starts with complimentary non-alcoholic spritzer as well as 5 tempting sweet treats and 4 different savoury bites with bottomless plunger coffee and leaf teas all included. Gather a group and book a table on the deck or inside with flowers and candles and lots of delicious things to enjoy.
2 hour sessions are available on the Sunday. $50 for their Deluxe High tea of 5 sweet treats and 4 savoury ones – all handmade and all delicious. $60 if you want to upgrade to their Sparkling High Tea with glass of sparkling French cuvee. Book here.

Three Manly Mums have come together to host a Mothers Day Event to remember at a stunning waterfront location! Relax & enjoy a decadent afternoon tea and a glass of bubbles with Mum while The Workshop Hubs professional teachers guide you through how to make your own aromatherapy gemstone bracelet or botanical hair comb.
The savoury menu looks delicious with finger sandwiches, mini bagels, pork & fennel sausage rolls, and yummy quiches on offer. If your mum loves chocolate this is the High Tea for her! A wonderful chocolate indulgence awaits at The Brasserie on the River’s chocolate high tea buffet. The delicious culinary work of the talented in-house chefs includes an extensive array of chocolate delicacies, as well as an equally complementary savoury selection.
