Simple Mother’s Day Craft

Easy Mother’s Day Craft

To put it simply Mothers are wonderful. They need to be loved, appreciated and respected the whole year round, however it is lovely to have a day dedicated to all mothers. Here is a simple Mother’s Day craft from one of our friends at Building Little Minds.

Mums are awesome

I don’t think that you really ever know how hard you can fall in love and all that it entails until you take that first glimpse of your precious child. Mothers put their children first. That overwhelming feeling of wanting to get it right. The little things like missing that hour of sleep at night because you can’t decided if they are too cold or maybe too hot after you’ve gently placed the blanket over their tiny body for the third time that night. Choosing the right day care, the right school. Making sure they are well fed, have had enough activity for the day and that they are healthy. We do everything in our power to make sure they are happy, feel loved and cared for.

When you become a Mother you take on many roles some of which you were never prepared for. We all have good days, bad days, really bad days and absolutely fabulous days. Some days I walk around giving myself high fives and think to myself what a great Mum I am. Other days I find myself in tears to my husband crying, ‘I’ve had enough!’ The thing is we need to remember there is no right or wrong. We all love our children and we all do our best.

Why Kids Love Their Mums

Teaching young children over the years has taught me that they love us for who we are. Every Mothers Day we ask the children some important questions about their Mums. Without a doubt each year the overwhelming theme in each child’s interview is the underlying love they feel from their Mums through cuddles, kisses and special time together. Not the toys they buy them, clothes chosen for them or their fancy bedrooms.

So enjoy this Mothers Day and feel confident that you are a great Mum. Give your children lots of cuddles and kisses and cherish the moments when they give them back to you.

Here is a simple Mother’s Day craft activity for all ages to enjoy and it will make the perfect Mothers day gift.
