Warm Up This Winter in Heated Pools | Brisbane

Living in Brisbane, the weather is usually warm all year round making it the prime location for spending the day around the pool or at the beach. As a result, a lot of Brisbane kids have grown up to love splashing around in the water. Some families are fortunate to have a pool in their own backyard, but for those who don’t, public pools are the way to go!

Despite Autumn being upon us, the sun is still out in full force with some of the hottest temperatures during this time of year. A quick way to cool off is to find one of your local pools and take a dip. But we all know how unpredictable Brisbane’s weather can be – winter is probably just around the corner! If your kids just can’t get enough of the pool we’ve compiled a list of the best heated pools Brisbane has to offer to keep them happy without catching a cold during the winter break.

The heated pools range from 16m to 50m with some located inside or outside with shaded areas. The temperatures range from around 27 to 32oC. If it’s not that cold outside, or you and your kids are feeling brave, all the locations also provide regular pools with most including lap pools, children’s wading pools, and even slides. Select centres also conduct swimming lessons, squads and other water sports; however, some of these activities are not available during the winter season.

To ensure the safety of you and your child at all times, it’s crucial to follow all rules as signed at each individual location. As a general rule, children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times within arms’ reach. Kids six to ten years require supervision at all times, even if there is a lifeguard present. And kids eleven to fourteen should be checked on regularly by their parent or guardian.
