Valley Pool is an historic pool that has undergone many changes over the last century. Its 50m heated outdoor pool is now a modern venue popular with lap swimmers and recreational swimmers, and a great place to learn to swim and enjoy water sports.

Valley Pool has a 50m heated outdoor pool with shaded seating and is available for lap swimming or recreational swimming. There is also a kiosk on site selling refreshments and swimwear.
Great! When is it open?
The winter opening hours for Valley Pool are Monday to Friday, 5.15am to 7.30pm, Saturday from 5.15am to 5pm, and Sundays and public holidays from 7.30am to 5pm. Summer hours may differ so please check the website before setting off. If you’re driving in consider the proximity of the pool to inner-city Brisbane and how peak-hour traffic may have an impact on your travel time.
Is Valley Pool accessible?
Valley Pool has disabled facilities and honours the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free entry for anyone accompanying a person with disability who requires attendant care support.
Prices:
Adults (aged 15 years and over, including spectators) $5.40; children aged 2-14 years $3.90. Discounted family passes and multiple visit passes are available.
Entry Conditions:
Children under ten years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and children under five and non-swimmers must be within arm’s reach of their guardian at all times.

Valley Pool heated outdoor pool is a great place to learn to swim, and it also hosts a number of other water based sports such as water polo and underwater hockey. It’s easily accessed via public transport and is at the heart of a really beautiful, culturally significant part of Brisbane’s history.
