Hibiscus Sports Complex Pool – year round swimming on the southside!

There’s so much for Brisbane families to do at Hibiscus Sports Complex Pool – the whole year round! Have you been there yet?

Hibiscus Sports Complex is part of the City Aquatics and Health Group and is a bright, relaxing family environment.

What’s there?

Hibiscus Sports Complex has a 50m outdoor pool with shade over the shallow end, a 25m heated indoor recreational pool, 12m heated programs pool for swimming lessons, a wading pool with water play area, and a kiosk for snacks and drinks. There’s a super-fun 20m twisty water tube slide, and lots of picnic tables in a shaded area by the lawn. There’s also a gym on-site and plenty of car parking.

Great! When is Hibiscus Sports Complex Pool open?

Hibiscus Sports Complex Pools are open Monday to Friday from 5:30am, Saturday 12-4pm, and Sunday 9am to 5pm. On public holidays the pool is open from 9am to 5pm except for Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day when it is closed. The outdoor pool is only open during the summer months.

Hibiscus Sports Complex has differing hours for the summer and winter seasons so please check their website for the current closing times.

Is it accessible?

Hibiscus Sports Complex Pool isn’t equipped with special facilities for the disabled but it does honour the Queensland Government Companion Card scheme allowing free entry to anyone accompanying a person requiring attendant care support.

Prices:

Adults (15 years and over) can enter the pool for $5.40, children aged two-14 years are $3.90, and children under two are free. Family passes and multiple entry passes are also available, and non-swimming spectators/supervisors can enter for $2.50.

Entry Conditions to Hibiscus Sports Complex Pool:

Children under five and non-swimmers must be within arm’s reach of a supervising adult at all times in the water, and children aged 6-ten years must be under constant parental or guardian supervision. Children aged 11-14 years must be regularly checked on and not left unattended.

Anything else?

Yes, not only does the Hibiscus Sports Complex have three pools, a gym and fitness centre, but there are also multi-purpose indoor courts for hire, a squash centre, and a skate park. There’s heaps of fun to be had at Hibiscus!
