The Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks 2024: South Bank
Celebrate the end of 2024 with The Lord Mayor’s NYE Fireworks, lighting up the river at South Bank for the city’s official New Year’s Eve celebration.
Join the family-friendly fun at South Bank Parkland with free firework displays and food vendors. The most important element is the spectacular firework displays that are in store. There’s a family-friendly session at 8:30pm for those who like an early night, and another at midnight for late-night revellers. Both sets of fireworks will feature amazing colours and an awesome soundtrack.

New Year’s Eve Celebration 2024: Back to the 80s: Carina
Join Carina Leagues Club for a night of 80s music with Boombox 80s performing live from 8pm plus plenty of fun and games. Dance the night away to live music and DJ sets featuring your favourite 80s hits, enjoy delicious food and drinks from restaurants and bars, and capture unforgettable memories with their photo booth.
For the kids, Playland will be open all day from 11am – 9:30pm, and face painters and balloon artists will be on the deck from 6pm – 9pm. Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm and midnight!

New Year’s at Bulimba Golf Club 2024: Bulimba
Ring in the New Year with Bulimba Golf Club! This year, they’re taking things to a whole new level with larger fireworks, additional outdoor bars, more entertainment, and a variety of food trucks! With plenty of activities, including two breathtaking fireworks displays (8pm and midnight), kids’ disco (6pm – 8pm), food trucks and live music by The Lazy Hyena (8pm – 10pm) and a DJ set from 10pm – midnight, featuring the best tunes from the 80s to the 90s, this event is perfect for families! Tivoli NYE Celebrations 2024: Tivoli Drive-In

Head along to Victoria Point Lakeside for their annual New Year’s Eve Carnival to enjoy children’s activities, food trucks, market stalls, entertainment, and fireworks on the lake!

Sunshine Coast New Year’s Fireworks 2024
New Year’s Eve 2024: Mooloolaba
This New Year’s Eve, the Sunshine Coast will deliver a fabulous New Year’s Eve event for all ages. From 5pm – 10pm, the Esplanade will come alive with family-friendly festivities, leading up to the much-anticipated 8.30pm fireworks display. You’ll find roving entertainment and face painting for the kids, food trucks and getting there will be a breeze with a range of active and public transport options.
If you’d prefer to escape the crowds, but still want to enjoy the fireworks, you’re in luck. Fireworks will be bigger this year, meaning you will see them from Cotton Tree in the north to La Balsa in the south.

New Year’s Eve Celebration 2024: Caloundra
Caloundra’s New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre, an event, proudly hosted by SCOFTA and sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Council, promises an evening of family fun, food and fireworks. The event will feature a substantial array of food trucks offering every local cuisine of street food you can imagine. As the sun sets, grab a spot on the grass for a movie under the stars, starting at 7.45pm. The fireworks display will be at 9.30pm.

Bluewater Festival: Shorncliffe
- Friday 29th March, 9am to 8pm – Good Friday 2024
The Bluewater Festival is held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. It’s a perfect vantage point to watch the start of this iconic race plus an opportunity to see the Multihull Yacht race start up close off the Pier. Head to Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe for FREE entry to the food festival, markets, entertainment throughout the day including live bands, kids’ activities, rides, and fireworks in the evening.
Caboolture Easter Carnival: Caboolture

The Brookfield Show: Brookfield
- 17 – 19 May 2024, 8am to 5pm
The Brookfield Show is back from Friday 17 – Sun 19 May 2024.
The biggest, little country show is set to amaze and delight show-goers across three jam packed days. From horses to show rides, cooking to circus performers, horticulture and dogs, more than 200 volunteers are hard at work to ensure the show has not only bounced back from torrential rains and flooding, but is going to be better than ever. Ipswich Show: Ipswich

The Ipswich Show offers a diverse program, celebrating the agricultural, industrial, pastoral and cultural attributes of our region across three fun-filled, action-packed days! Celebrations kick off on Friday 17 May with show favourites including animals, arts, craft, food, showbags, pig racing, nightly fireworks, sheep dog demonstrations, sideshow rides and much more.
The Hills Festival: Multiple locations

The Hills will come alive this May with fireworks, rides, entertainment and workshops for the month-long program of Hills Festival.
The Hills District, just north of Brisbane encompassing the suburbs of Arana Hills, Bunya, Draper, Everton Hills, Ferny Hills and Albany Creek, will be stacked with an expansive program of unique events and activities spanning the entire month of May. Find out more here.
Hills Carnivale: Ferny Hills

The annual Hills Carnivale on Saturday 25th May at George Willmore Park is a free entry event with a whole host of activities for little kids and big kids alike. For one day only, enjoy a jam-packed entertainment program. Kids will have lots to keep them busy with amusement rides, workshops and games, and roving entertainers to enjoy. Mum and Dad can wander through the dozens of lifestyle markets and multicultural food stalls while enjoying the talents of our local musical acts. After an evening of music, food and Moreton Bay hospitality, the event will conclude with an extravagant fireworks show. Look to the sky at 7pm and enjoy this grand conclusion to the Hills Festival.

The 94th annual Kalbar Show presents pig racing, the Dinkum Dinosaurs show, pavilion exhibits, sideshow alley, rides and amusement, and more! Fireworks will be held on the Saturday.

Brisbane families might like to take a day trip to the Gold Coast’s Mudgeeraba Show for a fabulous day out experiencing various tastes, sights, sounds and delights. Redcliffe Christmas Carols 2023
Take a drive out from the river city to see some of the best Christmas Carols in Brisbane. The signature giant snow globes will be back, providing the perfect white Christmas photo opportunity. Santa’s Village will feature Christmas-themed roving entertainment, kids’ workshops, free face-painting and more! Don’t forget to bring your best vocals with lots of family-friendly entertainment on offer!
