Queen of Apostles School is a co-educational school spanning two campuses – Prep to Year 2 at the Chuter Street Early Years Campus, and Years 3-6 at Thuruna Street Campus. The school provides a quality inclusive Catholic Education and has a strong partnership with the parish priest and parish community.
The school’s motto, “Growing in Faith and Love” builds on traditions established by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Queen of Apostles strives to build a partnership between the school and home, establishing open communication with parents and inviting the involvement of the school community. Curriculum and Extracurricular activities offered:
Students in Years 1-3 take part in swimming lessons from accredited coaches during Terms 1 and 4. Lessons are held at Stafford Heights State School pool and Somerset Hills State School pool. Swimming lessons for Prep children are held during Term 4 only. Year 4-6 students attend swimming lesson in either Term 1 or 4, alternating with dance lessons in the other term.
Students compete in the Interschool Competition in athletics and swimming. Years 4-6 students can also take part in competitions for netball, touch football, AFL and rugby league, during Term 2.
Queen of Apostles offers an Instrument/Strings Music program for all children from Years 2 to 6. Small group lessons are held during school time on a rotational timetable, with students from the program joining the school band and ensemble. Parents can provide their own instruments or hire them from a local company.
Japanese language classes are offered to students in Years 4, 5, & 6.
