Salisbury State School is a small school with a big heart. The school takes a holistic approach to learning, and ensures every child is valued, listened to and believed in.

The motto “Nothing but the best” applies to all endeavours, ensuring students attain academic, sporting and cultural skills and knowledge, as well as social outcomes.

What curricular and extra-curricular activities are offered at Salisbury State School?

Salisbury State School teaches the Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE), the Arts, Health and Physical Education, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Religious Education and Japanese (Languages Other Than English – LOTE).

The school has an extensive music program, with all students from Prep to Year 6 taking lessons with a specialist teacher weekly. Students in Years 5 and 6 can take elective instrumental tuition in percussion, wind and brass instruments. There is also a choir for students from Years 3-6.

All students take part in regular, supervised and age appropriate swimming lessons at the school’s pool during Terms 1 and 4.

What facilities are at Salisbury State School?

Every classroom has interactive whiteboards and two computers. The school has high speed internet connection, and computer usage is monitored.

The school has a new resource centre which includes a computer lab for class lessons. The new school hall is used for assemblies, presentation ceremonies, physical education lessons, band performances and class games, and is also an important resource for the community outside of school hours.

Salisbury State School has its own pool and a tennis court.
