Christmas Carols signal that the festive season’s in full swing in shopping centres, on the radio and even when you’re on hold during a phone call… but nothing beats going to a live event to sing along and share the Christmas spirit.

Friday 3 December
Jingle all the Bay | Sandgate
There’s so much to do at Jingle All the Bay, an event that transforms Sandgate Town Centre into a heap of FREE festive fun each year. Families will love the iconic Christmas street parade, hundreds of markets, Santa Claus photo opportunity, delicious food stalls, stages of entertainment, kids workshops plus amusements including a train ride and animal farm.

Sherwood Community Carols | Sherwood
The Sherwood Community Carols will showcase music by Kate Street Big Band, stalls by local community groups selling Christmas gifts and goodies, as well as entertainment by FireFly Entertainers and more! Of course, no community carols event should go without the must-have photo opportunity with Santa. Christmas in the Park | Calamvale

Bardon Community Carols | Bardon

The Hills Community Carols | Ferny Hills
Organisers are excited that The Hills Community Carols will be back to meeting in person at George Willmore Park. Treat yo’elf to an amazing afternoon of entertainment, rides, food stalls, face painting, fireworks and a visit from Santa. Kenmore Community Carols
Still on the hunt for Christmas Carols in Brisbane? Enjoy singing your favourite Christmas carols with local singers and choirs as you celebrate the true spirit of Christmas, reflecting on the reason for the season. There will be food and drinks available, including an ice cream and coffee van. The musical line-up features local singing star David Kidd and the Viva la Musica Voices directed by Rhonda Davidson-Irwin. This is a FREE family event for all ages with surprises in store! Carols in the Reservoir | Spring Hill
Be six metres underground, in a 150-year-old water reservoir, in Brisbane’s CBD, in Summer as the snow falls for your Christmas breakup at Carols in the Reservoir! What could be more mystical about Christmas than celebrating in the Spring Hill Reservoir, being serenaded by world-class performers singing traditional Christmas favourites with Carols in the Reservoir.

Jimboomba Christmas Brigade | Jimboomba

The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols | Brisbane
Enjoy cherished Christmas carols and festive favourites performed live by Brisbane’s best entertainers when they take to the Riverstage on Saturday December 11 from 4pm. Tickets are available via Brisbane City Council for $5, and the show will be broadcast on Channel 9 on December 19. Bookings required. Find out more here.

City of Logan Christmas Carols | Meadowbrook
Get into the Christmas spirit and head down to Griffith University Logan campus for the city’s biggest Christmas event. This FREE, family-friendly event will have you singing along to all your favourite Christmas carols, enjoying rides and indulging in the fantastic variety of delicious foods available. Flagstone Twilight Markets & Community Carols | Flagstone
Flagstone Twilight Markets will return in collaboration with a carol event on Saturday 11 December 2020. Delicious food trucks will be at the event to fill hungry tummies and Santa will be making a visit too! At the Christmas Markets at Bite Markets, get all your Christmas shopping done whilst supporting local businesses. With a large variety of craft and artisan stalls, in addition to the regular line-up of tasty food and drink vendors, it’s guaranteed to be a fun weekend out with the whole family.
Adding to the tree-mendous Christmas fun is the special North Harbour Christmas Carols spectacular, featuring performances by Opera Queensland and Choirs from Carmichael College and The Lakes College, at 5:30pm and 7:30pm on Saturday, 27 November.

Living in England, carol singer used to come to our door singing for coins or mince pies, but I haven’t seen that happen in Australia. I love the big carol events in Australia though, and at least it’s warm enough for them to be hosted outside! 🙂
