Christmas Carols in Brisbane

The Christmas countdown has begun and you know the big day must be getting closer when Carols are heard everywhere you go.

Christmas Carols signal that the festive season’s in full swing in shopping centres, on the radio and even when you’re on hold during a phone call… but nothing beats going to a live event to sing along and share the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Carols in Brisbane this year will be held in venues throughout the city. So you’ll know where and when they’re on, we’ve compiled the following list of recommended events.

Caboolture Christmas Carols

Join in and celebrate the festive season on Sunday 24th November 2019 at Centenary Lakes Park and sing-along to your favourite Christmas songs at the Caboolture Christmas Carols.

Saturday 30th November

Christmas in the Park | Calamvale

Head on down and help celebrate Christmas in the local community, the arrival of Santa face painting, food and coffee available for purchase. This is an event for all of the family, including your furry family members with a dog Christmas party and fancy dress Christmas parade. Followed by Christmas Carols and a screening of “Paddington Bear 2”.

North Lakes Christmas Carols

The North Lakes Christmas Carols will feature plenty of free activities and workshops, roving performers and FUN! You can even do some last-minute Christmas gift shopping at the twilight markets.

Carols In the Reservoir | Spring Hill

The people of Brisbane love carols, and what could be more mystical about celebrating Christmas than celebrating in the Spring Hill Reservoir, being serenaded by world-class performers singing traditional Christmas favourites with Carols in the Reservoir.

Friday 6th December

Jingle All the Bay | Sandgate

The Sandgate & District Chamber of Commerce present Jingle All the Bay! Join in celebrating Christmas in the bayside with a Street Party and Christmas Parade.

Saturday 7th December

Bray Park Community Carols

Love Christmas? Come and celebrate the festive season at the Bray Park Carols. The festival starts at 4PM with free jumping castles, face painting, petting zoo and other kids activities. Did we mention market stalls, food vendors and live music as well? The carols will begin at 7PM with a show for the whole family.

Burpengary Christmas Spectacular

It is that time again for the Burpengary Christmas Spectacular! This year will be bigger and better with some great stall holder and performances happening this year.

Griffin Christmas Carnival

Don’t miss this years Christmas Carnival at Griffin! It’s an event not to be missed! 7th December, Held on the oval at Griffin State School 3pm-8pm. Enjoy amazing non stop entertainment, market stalls, rides, Santa’s Parade, fireworks and MORE!

The Hills Community Carols | Ferny Hills

The biggest and best community carols in Brisbane’s North West. a huge variety of performers, food, rides and fireworks. This is a great event for the whole family.

Centenary Community Carols | Middle Park

Join in for an evening of carols, food and fun. They will have market stalls, food vendors, and santa’s sleigh from 4:30pm, with the carols beginning at 7:00pm. Sing along to your favourite carols with the help of the big band and a live nativity scene. Finish off the evening with fireworks at 8:00pm

Narangba Community Carols

The Lions Club of Narangba is proud to present the annual Narangba Community Carols at the Narangba Community Centre. Face painting, jumping castle, food and entertainment. A special visitor may even make an appearance before Fireworks at 7:45pm

Scarborough Christmas Carols

Catch all the action from around Scarborough Park with roving Christmas performers, twilight markets, and free Christmas activities and workshops.

Redlands White Christmas | Cleveland

The Redland City Choir proudly presents the return of Redlands White Christmas with all your favourite Christmas carols and a splash of movie magic.

Christmas Carnival | Sandstone Point

Tis’ the season to be jolly and you’ll find plenty to be jolly about with markets, food stalls, kids rides, live music, entertainment, Christmas carols, fireworks and of course a visit from Santa!

Carols @ Multicap – Share in the magic of Christmas

Carols @ Multicap is an annual event held to celebrate Christmas with Multicap families and the local community.

Jimboomba Christmas Carols 2018

With FREE admission, the Carols will be held at the Jimboomba State School Oval. Free parking is provided, so bring a blanket or some chairs relax and enjoy the show!

Burpengary Christmas Spectacular

It is that time again for the Burpengary Christmas Spectacular! This year will be bigger and better with some great stall holder and performances happening this year. There will be rides, carols, entertainment, food and FIREWORKS!

Christmas In the Creek | Albany Creek

Join the Albany Creek community in spreading the Christmas cheer. Sing along to everyone’s favourite Christmas songs. There were many other activities for the children including Face Painting. The music will be great and a good time will be had by all.

Wakerley Carols

You’re invited to join us for an afternoon of tasty treats, live music, arts & crafts and rides leading into an evening of Christmas carols and a fireworks finale. This free community event, now in its sixth year, is an initiative of the Port of Brisbane Rotary club supported by Brisbane City Council, local businesses and service organisations.

With lots of family-friendly entertainment on offer, everyone can get into the spirit of the season. The North Lakes Christmas Carols will feature plenty of free activities and workshops, roving performers and FUN! Bring your best vocals and a blanket to spread out, relax and enjoy a magical evening. The North Lakes Christmas Carols will have a full program of talented local dance groups and choirs to get you singing along.  The evening will finish with a ‘bang’ when the night sky lights up with the huge Fireworks Finale.

Centenary Community Carols | Middle Park

The Centenary Salvation Army hosts the annual Carols in the Park, held at The Peter Lightfoot Oval for the Centenary Suburbs. This popular event is sponsored by local businesses and organizations and is attended by thousands every year. The night will finish with FRIEWORKS!

Bray Park Community Christmas Carols

Bray Park Community Church Christmas Carols is a free family friendly event, hosting an array of activities and entertainment.

Where: 14 Youngs Crossing Road, Bray Park

Time: 4.00pm – 8.15pm

Celebrate the festive season at Scarborough Beach Park, Landsborough Avenue, on Sunday 9th December 2018 and sing-along to your favourite Christmas songs from 3pm – 8pm at the Scarborough Christmas Carols.  The kids will fall in love with the Santa’s Village.

2018 IGA Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols

When: Saturday 8 December, 2018

Where: Brisbane River Stage, Gardens Point

Time: 4.00pm – 9.15pm

The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols has long been Brisbane’s favourite Christmas event. Held centrally in the city and sponsored by the Brisbane City Council, it draws notable Australian performers. Click here for more information.

Mango Hill Christmas Carols

It’s that time of year again! Help the Mango Hill community prepare for Santa’s arrival by joining in the family-friendly festive fun at the annual Mango Hill Christmas Carols on 15th December.

City of Logan Christmas Carols | Meadowbrook

Celebrate Christmas at the City of Logan Christmas Carols. Take the family and enjoy entertainment from former Australian Idol winner Stan Walker, the Grinch Children’s Show and community choirs. There will be food trucks and rides, plus you can grab a free photo with Santa and make sure you stick around for the fireworks at the end of the show.

Carols by Twilight

Settle in by the gently-lapping Brisbane River while cherub-lipped musicians warble sweet melodies from Christmas carol classics, as the sun goes down. There’ll be Cigany Weaver, SCAT and the Queensland Show Choir to name just a few. All sessions are free to watch.

The soft, green lawn is also perfect for enjoying an in-show picnic, or some take-away goods from the surrounding River Quay restaurants. If you’re over 18 years of age, the area is licensed should you wish to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.

Pine Rivers Park Christmas Carols brings families all the joyful entertainment with an extra sprinkling of Christmas magic on Sunday, 16th December.

Bracken Ridge Christmas Carols

Warm up those voices and get your Santa hats out of storage because the Bracken Ridge Christmas Carols is on again.

When: Sunday 16 December, 2018

Where: Norris Road State School Oval

Time: 4.30pm – 8.30pm

There’ll be dozens of market stalls and food vans  for you to enjoy. Make sure you bring a few chairs and a picnic rug for when the carols start at 7pm. It’s a great show this year with plenty of singing, dancing, fireworks and Santa might even drop by. For more information click here.

Spirit of Christmas | South Bank

The halls will be decked, the stockings hung. December 2018 welcomes back Spirit of Christmas, with all our favourite carols to be sung. Presented in the grandeur of QPAC’s Concert Hall, Spirit of Christmas has become a cherished annual tradition at QPAC. So gather your friends and family and join us for this magnificent celebration, including traditional carols the whole family can join in and sing.

    Living in England, carol singer used to come to our door singing for coins or mince pies, but I haven’t seen that happen in Australia. I love the big carol events in Australia though, and at least it’s warm enough for them to be hosted outside! 🙂
