There are LOTS of great things to see and do at this time of year on the Sunshine Coast. There will be local trick or treat homes that you can visit or, if you like, the more structured activities that are listed below. Mwahahaha.

Friday 30 October

Bite Markets | North Harbour

Bite Markets at North Harbour will be offering a trick or treat experience on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October from 4pm. Little monsters who love candy can spend the night trick or treating their way around the market collecting their candy, available from all the vendors on a special map provided by Bite Market organisers. Tickets are $6 per child.

Halloween Double Feature | Eumundi

The Eumundi Drive-In now at the Eumundi Showgrounds will screen Halloween cult classic movies across the weekend. On Friday 30 October enjoy Ghostbusters 1 and Ghostbusters 2. On Halloween night, Saturday 31 October prepare yourself for The GOONIES and Gremlins return to the big screen!  Gates open from 5pm and it’s $30 per car to enter.

Ride the Night - Halloween Special - Aussie World

Ride the Night at Aussie World | Palmview

Aussie World won’t be hosting their Halloween FestEvil this year however they will be holding a Ride the Night – Halloween Special! It will be Aussie World but with a SERIOUSLY WICKED transformation. Use discretion with little kids (the big ones will go wild for it).

Australia Zoo are celebrating this fang-tastic day with a prize given at Zoo entry to each child wearing a frightful Halloween costume! You can also meet some eight-legged friends at the amazing pop-up spider exhibit, carve your own jack-o-lantern, and go trick or treating around the Zoo! Plus you can even purchase an official Crocodile Hunter khaki Halloween costume online!

Monster Madness at Kawana Shoppingworld | Kawana

Kawana Shoppingworld Trick or Treat

Kawana Shoppingworld are hosting an Augmented Reality Trick or Treat Hunt. Find 8 spooky monsters in-centre and WIN a spooky showbag. Sessions will run every 15 minutes from 12-5pm. Tickets are $2.50 per child and bookings are essential to participate.

Halloween Movie Night | Caloundra

The Golden Beach Tavern is hosting a family friendly spooktacular night to celebrate Halloween with big screen movies showing in the kids play area (weather dependant) / slime stations and of course FREE trick or treat bags for all kids! There will also be prizes for the best-dressed child and best-dressed family. 

Glitter & Goop Halloween Workshops | Buderim

Glitter & Goop is a fun, creative, hands-on, messy, experimental, relaxed, all-inclusive space for people to enjoy and create some amazing artwork. This Halloween they will be hosting 6 creepy craft workshops including zombie brain slime, skull sand art and wooden bat canvas. Prices start from $12 and workshops will run at different times across the day.

Spooktacular Halloween Train | Gympie

Don’t miss the Mary Valley Rattler π‘Ίπ’‘π’π’π’Œπ’•π’‚π’„π’–π’π’‚π’“ π‘―π’‚π’π’π’π’˜π’†π’†π’ train on Saturday 31 October. Come dressed in your spooky costumes and enjoy all the family fun. Tickets include an onboard meal and a trick or treat experience for the kids. The spooky train will depart from the Historic Gympie Station at 5pm and return at 8pm. Children 2-12 years are $55 and adults are $85.

Halloween Party | Noosaville

Enjoy the night off by dropping the kids off at Tilly Belle for a Halloween disco from 5pm – 8pm. This fun event will include spooky-themed games, food, and take home trick or treat bags. $40 per child. Bookings are essential.

Beware it’s a Ghostly affair, attend if you Dare! Calling all little Monsters, Adventure Empire are inviting you to come ‘hang’ with them this Halloween at their rock climbing gym! Starting from 4pm there will be prizes for best dressed!

Make your own Halloween Sunshine Coast fun!

Of course, if none of those suit you can always make your own fun at home. Put together a mini haunted house, get a ghostly disco going on, have a dress-up party, and just go wild on the candy. There are plenty of options for creating your own mini-festival – why not make it a street party and get to know the neighbourhood? It’s a great bonding experience and so fun for the kids. You could make some brand new friends… forever! Everyone will be simply dying to come! Mwhahahaha!
