At the top of this article are the places to go trick or treating in Brisbane and below this list is a calendar of Brisbane events for Halloween. Halloween 2020 falls on a Saturday night this year which should make for an extra exciting weekend of fun and spooky celebrations!

Halloween Haunt Ipswich | Barellan Point

This year has been a spooky ride so there has been a few changes with the popular Halloween Haunt Ipwich. For everyone’s convenience and safety they have switched their display to a drive-by exclusive experience. The event will be running from October 28-31 from 6pm-9pm!

Hocus Pocus at the Yatala Drive-In | Yatala

Halloween at Yatala Drive In

Pack the car full of treats and take the family to see this cult classic Halloween movie! The Yatala Drive-In is Brisbane & the Gold Coast’s last original open-air Drive-In Motion Picture Theatre, with 3 massive screens. Hocus Pocus sees three witch sisters resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to their reign of terror once and for all. Halloween Disco | Strathpine

Don’t fancy a night of trick or treating? Join Lollipops Playland and Cafe Strathpine for an awesome night of music, dancing, games, and prizes. All kids receive a trick or treat bag filled with goodies! The Halloween Disco will be held over two nights including Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October from 6pm-8pm. Find out more here.

Count Discardia Hunt | Woolloongabba

Count Discardia is back in town at Reverse Garbage! Can you catch him? From 24th to the 31st of October, join the hunt to find all of the hidden Counts scattered around the warehouse. Every child who participates will receive a FREE Halloween craft pack. No need to register! Just turn up during Halloween week, ask for a tally sheet at the front counter and get counting!

Haunted Halloween Hunt | Brookside

Head to Brookside Shopping Centre… if you dare! For a spooky hunt, that will give you quite a scare. Wear the creepiest outfit, you want to share. Prepare for quite a fright at the Brookside lair! Make your way around the centre by following all the clues, at the end a mysterious treat for the first 200 hunters will be waiting for you. Recommended age 3-12 years. No bookings required.

Bay Play Spooktacular Halloween Party | Cleveland

From 5pm – 7:30pm, join Bay Play Cleveland for this all-ages event. Kids can enjoy spooky games and face paint, FREE trick or treat bags and monster mash dances. Book online here.

Haunted Mansion Tour | Marburg

Get your fright on by taking a tour of a REAL Haunted Mansion (Thundercrack!) at Woodlands of Marburg. The 130 year old Mansion is allegedly haunted by the ghosts of its original owners. Head out on a guided night tour of ‘The Haunted Mansion’ delving into the rich historical stories and ghostly tales of yesteryear.  This is a fully immersive experience. Tickets are $94 per person and the event runs from 7pm-10pm. 

Halloween Costume Party | Springwood

The team at Lollipops Playcentre Springwood are hosting a Halloween Costume Party from 5:30pm – 8pm. Come dressed in your spookiest outfit and join in for a night of fun! Best dressed on the night wins a prize! Tickets are $10 (Entry Only) or $15 (Entry w/ Kids Meal).

Pie Town Halloween | West End

Get your foodie creativity on and head to Pie Town to decorate your very own Halloween personal pie every day from Monday 26 October to Saturday 31 October. Each pie is about 6 inches (15cm) and you can choose from classic pumpkin, chocolate mousse or matcha custard as your edible canvas. This year Caboolture Historical Village has planned something a bit different to meet COVID-19 requirements. Head along to the Ipswich Showplace Halloween Market from 7am and join their Halloween Hunt! Every Saturday and some Friday nights throughout October the kids can head to Seaworld to have some extra spooky fun after dark. Sea World Spooky Nights is Sea World’s all new after hours family event! The event starts at 5:30pm and transforms the park into a Spooky land filled with colourful Sea Monsters and ghastly Ghost Pirates! Take part in a Trick’n’Treasure Trail, experience incredible precincts, spooktivities, shows, selected rides at night plus more! Village Roadshow One Pass Holders receive one free entry to Sea World Spooky Nights.

    Best trick or treating in Brisbane is in Wilston on Munna St./Edmonstone St. Based on 2018, most houses give out candy, one house does a full on haunted house and another does spectacular decorations and Halloween themed entertainment. Lots of trick or treaters, costumes and fun. Definitely worth a look.
