Answering five quick questions can filter by age-group, location, special occasion, and the time you have available to offer suggestions in a flash. The inspiration behind Spark Pop
Spark Pop is the brainchild of Brisbane mum, Melissa Soutar.
As a mum, Melissa noticed the familiar adverse effects of “stuffocation” – having way too much stuff! Kids grow and change so fast that toys and games are loved all too briefly before being consigned to cupboards, charity bins, or landfill. Aside from a few enduring favourites, many of the items children have pestered for soon become forgotten, but the memories from experiences last!
Did you know: Toys are the most plastic intensive industry in the world.
With a vision to “free playrooms, landfill and our oceans of harmful plastics”, Melissa used her marketing and communications experience to make it easier to give experiences over stuff. Her idea is already winning awards: Melissa was awarded Bronze Winner in AusMumpreneur’s “One to Watch” category where she was one of 2000 entrants!
