A Night at the Queensland Museum: After Hours Fun for Families!

The Queensland Museum are renowned for their fabulous after dark adventure – A Night at the Museum! These special Night at the Queensland Museum events always sell out so if you’re keen to go book asap! Periodically throughout the year they put on awesome adventures for kids and their grownups. These nights are your chance to visit this great local venue ‘after hours’ at several special events throughout the year.

Watch our video from a previous ‘Night at the Museum’. This is to give you the gist…not all these displays will be on every time the museum holds this special event. Regardless, it is so much fun! We highly recommend it. This is especially great for parents who work during the day.

A Night at the Museum 2024

A Night at the Museum is back with exclusive after-hours access to Queensland Museum including the immersive adventure Jurassic World by Brickman®, along with a range of other fun activities for the whole family.

Exhibitions

  • Ignore your curiosity with exclusive access to SparkLab (open until 8pm during A Night at the Museum events).
  • Get ready for an immersive adventure with after-hours access to Jurassic World by Brickman®, the largest LEGO® brick exhibition in Australia.
  • Unleash your inner palaeontologist in Dinosaurs Unearthed: Explore Prehistoric Queensland.
  • Look closer at six-legged superheroes in Insect Agency until 7th July 2024.
  • Explore Queensland’s distinctive environments and animals in Wild State.

Events and Activities

  • Talks and demonstrations guided by Queensland Museum experts and special guests.
  • Hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.

  • Adults $48
  • Children (3-15 years) $20
  • Family (2 adults and 2 children) $115
  • Children under 3 are free

This event has limited capacity. Bookings are essential.

Janine Mergler

Janine Mergler is a veteran Queensland teacher, graduating from QUT with a BEd majoring in Social Sciences. After many years in the classroom, Janine moved on to academia. She has proudly trained new generations of teachers in her role as a lecturer at Queensland University of Technology Faculty of Education. She has also worked in the Queensland Government as an education specialist, developing education resources and delivering community awareness programs to help families conserve water.
