Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Running since 1947, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-see for animals lovers in South East Queensland. CWS specialises in looking after and preserving native Australian animals, as well as our heritage and culture. There are hundred of animals on display in gorgeous, natural settings that are in tune with their native habitats.
Attendees can buy single tickets, family passes or TREETOP CHALLENGE passes which are an absolutely amazing idea for those who like to walk on the wild side!

Paradise Country

Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary (formerly Macadamia Castle)

Taking pride of place in the northern NSW suburb of Knockrow is Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary (formerly Macadamia Castle). For 40 years it’s been a popular tourist destination located between Byron Bay and Ballina.
Visiting the castle itself is free and it features a cafe, animal fun park, nut bar, fine food section and a retail store with local goodies. It’s also a place where you can take kids for a full day’s entertainment and education.
