Parking
Limited parking is available in the surrounding streets to Foreshore Fireworks. You are advised to arrive early & be mindful of local residents when parking. Our advice is to utilise public transport (www.translink.com.au).
Road closures are required and have to be implemented in the interest of public safety, which therefore leaves some parking restrictions. We would like to remind you that traffic will be busy during your visit to Foreshore Fireworks, therefore, we strongly recommend you allow extra time when planning your trip to the event.
Remember that sometimes little ears can be sensitive to fireworks! We recommend investing in some child-friendly headphones or some ear muffs to make the night more enjoyable for tiny tots. You’ll also definitely need to stock up on things like insect spray and be aware that, even in the fading light, it’s well worth your while to apply sunscreen to yourself and your little people.
Hey Families Mag
This sounds perfect. We’d be coming down from Everton Park – what’s the best way to this specific place? I get a bit confused by that side of town and don’t want to “get trapped”
Thanks. Will call them. Crys.
Hey Everyone!
Yes, we’re really excited – no just to be sponsoring but also to go!
Sofia, there’ll be tons of room to view, Bramble Bay is the ideal set up for viewing them with tons of foreshore to stand at. The best view however will be at The Bel. There’ll be approximately a million kids on the waterfront 🙂
Candy, Scarborough is Christmas fireworks I believe. <3 this time of year! I'm one of those people who squeeee when Christmas decorations start to appear in stores.
Shelley, yeah us too. Our dog will be able to hear it too. Our vet gave us a mild sedative for him last year and he slept through it all.
Dell, we aim to please
Mike and Crystal, yes the Bel is putting on a VIP room for parents and kids. I think the tickets are about $85 but you can confirm with the venue - as an added bonus you get the PERFECT viewing point. It'll all be done and dusted by 9.00 so you can get the kids home before NYE starts in earnest. That event will give you a bit of a buffer from the masses too. The Bel is a really nice venue though, it's not rough so I imagine it won't be too rowdy.
Just let us know if you have any questions - we'll sort you out 🙂 Janine, Jesse, Regina, Karen, Ala and Dana #teamfamilies
Not sure about kids out at a pub at NYE but at least if it finishes before the real drinking begins it will be OK. There’s some kind of VIP room isn’t there? How much are tix please?
This is awesome.
We’re so lucky to be outsourcing our kids this NYE so we can go be grown ups. My SIL lives in Northgate and will have five kids in total on the night so I might suggest she bring them down your way!
Shorncliffe will be an awesome viewing spot. THis is going to be AMAZING. So glad this is happening. thanks Families Mag!
Oh dear, we live just around the corner from there, will have to send our dog somewhere for the evening lest he lose his poor puppy mind with the noise.
I heard that the Scarborough ones aren’t happening again this year, is that right? We went to Bribie last year so this is much more convenient.
So do you have to go the pub or is there going to be stuff on the waterfront too?
Brilliant news. So great that there’s a family-friendly option for the northside…and that is a perfect location. Fireworks over the Bay will be spectacular. Well done Families Magazine and The Bel. Can’t wait to join your celebration!
ooo! Can’t wait!
I am so bummed that I’ll be overseas and will miss these fireworks. Sounds amazing!
Thanks for the advance notice, perfect timing, we were trying to figure out where to go for early fireworks! (We’ve been away for the last few years and have a tradition of pretending that the 8ish fireworks are actually midnight ones :)).
Nice to have some local fireworks!! Can’t wait.
