Easter Long Weekend Activities in Brisbane 2024

This article gives parents a comprehensive list, of some the best activities on during the Easter long weekend in Brisbane!

If you are looking for things to do over the Easter break, this article will give you the information you are searching for. As the recognised expert for ‘What’s On in Brisbane for Families’, we have an up to date Brisbane Easter long weekend activities guide just in time to help you plan!

Easter is such a special time to spend with the special people in your life.  This year Easter falls on the weekend of Friday the 29 March to Monday the 1 of April, 2024.  There are so many traditions at Easter time.  My family always does an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday, then catch up with family and friends. Or perhaps you make the most of the very long weekend and catch up on some DIY jobs around the house?

I don’t know about you, but many of our Easter traditions have something to do with food!  There are hot cross buns, seafood, roasts and basically any recipe that involves chocolate.  There can never be too much chocolate at Easter! It is also time in Brisbane to think about pulling out the winter pyjamas (hopefully!) ready for the Sunday morning Easter egg hunt in the cooler morning air.

Create some family traditions with some Easter craft, or make your own creme Easter eggs. There are plenty of activities to do for a fun weekend at home with the family, but there are so many great things to do out and about as well!  From Easter putt putt to a show about caterpillars, there is something for everyone.

How to use our Easter long weekend guide:

In our activities guide you will find that we have broken our Easter ideas for families up into the 4 days of the Easter long weekend to help you find the best Easter activities for you and your family over the Easter holiday period. Then under the day by day breakdown, we have a list of places that are hosting Easter events all through Easter, so you can choose any day to attend!

In our guide you will find things to do over Easter with kids on:
