Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza Brisbane

Who’s up for a Brisbane Easter egg hunt?! Is there anything more essentially Easter than a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt? We just love seeing the kid’s faces light up each time they discover another egg hidden away.

We’re extra egg-cited to flex our egg hunting paws and hop along to one of the BIG Brisbane easter egg hunts happening in and around river city. Here’s our list of favourite Brisbane Easter Egg Hunt events this year!

Saturday 1 April 

Easter Egg hunt | Dakabin

Join the Easter Bunny and your local MP’s Steven Miles & Shane King for a fun filled morning at Bob Brock Park Dakabin. We are happy to pair with North Pine Sports Club who will have coffee, breakfast and raffle tickets on sale to support their club.

Register as soon as possible here, we would hate you to miss out.

Check in is from 9 am the hunt will start at 10am, please note if you get there late we may not be able to accommodate you. 

Sunday 2 April

Portside Wharf Easter Market

A bunny at Portside Wharf Easter Market

Have an egg-cellent time by the river at the family-friendly Portside Wharf Easter Market, hosted by The Market Folk at the riverside precinct on Sunday, April 2, from 9am to 1pm.

An adorable line-up of furry-friends from McDonald’s Travelling Pet Farm will make an appearance, with a free children’s easter egg hunt, a colourful egg decorating workshop and a visit from the Easter Bunny sure to excite the little ones!

The first 50 market attendees to arrive at Portside Wharf will also be delighted with a free delicious ice cream from Roll It Ice Cream Co, the perfect treat to enjoy under umbrellas and deck chairs by the river as you listen to live music.

More than 35 stallholders will be returning to the precinct for the Easter Market, bringing with them vibrant and unique offerings in beauty, handmade jewellery, ceramic and art pieces, homewares, plants, and much more. Food trucks will also be back and ready to provide tasty pick-me-up meals to fuel your market shopping. Find out more here

Easter egg hunt | Springfield

We are sooooo egg-cited for this years centre wide Easter Egg Hunt at Orion Springfield Central. Simply book a ticket and join in the fun as you collect Easter Eggs from our friendly retailers. Feel free to dress up and please BYO an Easter Basket or bag to collect eggs. Sessions are 15 minutes from 10am – 2pm daily (excluding Good Friday). Cost $3 per child – all ticket proceeds go to Y2 Tribe, supporting our local youth community. Booking is essential.

Monday 3 April – Monday 10 April 

Victoria Park | Herston

The Great Easter Bunny Trail at Victoria Park

Can you help find the Easter Bunny? From 3-10 April 2023, kids of all ages can hop on over to Victoria Park for The Great Easter Bunny Trail these school holidays.

Follow the trail of egg-citing clues through Victoria Park and collect six stamps along the way. Starting at the Herston Road entrance, all clue seekers will be provided with a clue map and stamp card. Once all six stamps are collected, hop over to the last clue to be awarded a special Easter treat. Don’t forget to take a photo of your adventure and tag #victoriapark #barrambin. Find out more here

Monday 3 April – Monday 10 April 

Easter Scavenger Hunt | Online

Not quite an Easter Egg hunt, but still a lot of fun and you don’t even need to leave your house! Their Easter Hunt is to find the Medieval Manuscript Rabbits!  

From 3 April until 10 April 11:59pm, go on the hunt to find the HIDDEN RABBITS across their website and social media pages. How to enter: Complete the entry form on the website to unlock entries, then search and find 10 hidden manuscript rabbits – when you see one, click on it to find a hidden code for bonus entries.  You need to dig deep to find these hidden among the pages, comments and posts on all the Abbey Museum Website, Abbey Medieval Festival Website, and social media accounts. Don’t worry if you can’t find all the codes! You can complete other actions to unlock entries. We will be sharing clues on our Abbey Museum Facebook page. 

Wednesday 5 April 

Bankfoot House Easter Egg Hunt | Glass House Mountains

Search for gold nuggets (aka Easter eggs!) at Bankfoot House on Wednesday 5 April 2023, the only surviving coach station on the famous Cobb & Co. run between Brisbane and Gympie.

Bring your own basket and fossick the two-acre property for shiny wrappers in the hopes of sweet gold.

No need for blasting or open cut mining, eggs will be hidden in plain sight. Increase your prospects by being ready at 10am when the gates open. Find out more here

Easter Extravaganza | Redcliffe

Get ready to hop into the Easter spirit at Undersea Putt + Play! On Saturday, April 8, they’re hosting an egg-cellent Easter Extravaganza that’s fun for the whole family!

Open all day, join them on Easter Saturday for:

  • Easter Egg Hunt

  • Easter Bunny (12pm to 3pm)

Hop on over to Victoria Point Shopping Centre on Easter Saturday 8th April to meet the cutest bunny in town! Snap a photo and receive your very own bunny ears and chocolate. No cost involved.

Meet the Easter Bunny at Victoria Park

On Easter Saturday, 8 April, Victoria Park will host a special guest appearance from none other than the Easter Bunny from 9am – 1pm! Hop on down to Scarborough Easter Twilight Market with heaps of Easter family fun available! On the Saturday 8 April from 12pm to 6pm!

Beelarong Great Easter Egg Hunt | Morningside

Beelarong Community Farm’s Great Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 8 April!

Open to children aged 1 to 10 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join one of our two sessions:
– Session 1 : from 1 to 2pm
– Session 2 : from 2 to 3pm

Places are limited to 20 children per session so please register here as soon as possible.

Easter Eggstravaganza | Sandstone Point Hotel

Hop on over to the annual Easter Sunday Eggstravaganza at Sandstone Point Hotel from 10am on Sunday 9 April 2023. The Easter egg hunt is back on with over 6,000 eggs to find! Want to give it a crack? It’s FREE but pre-registrations are essential!  The egg-citement keeps coming! Enjoy live music, market stalls, craft stations, petting zoo and entertainment. Plus a visit from the Easter Bunny! Free entry into the event! Rides have an additional cost.

Easter egg hunt at the Plaza | Everton Park

Hop on over to the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Everton Plaza. The kids will be joined by the Easter bunny and Alice (from Wonderland) to hunt for their favourite candies all throughout the plaza! Easter Fiesta | Murrumba Downs 

Murrumba Downs Easter Fiesta is the ultimate day out for kids under 5 years old. The stage will be jam packed with Easter themed performances from well known stars. Kids will be spoilt for choice with so many FREE activities. Cuddle a baby chicken, compete in the Easter themed field games, have a blast on the amusement rides and explore the sensory zone. Visit the information tent to receive your Easter scavenger hunt sheet, then find the items around the site to claim a delicious treat. 10am-2pm, John Oxley Reserve.

Easter Big Hunt | Newmarket & Eight Mile Plains 

This Easter look no further for a fun program for your kids. There will be sing-along, drama, task master, yummy snacks and, big hunt. This is for kids aged 2 – 12. 

Saturday 9 April

Beelarong Great Easter Egg Hunt | Morningside 

Beelarong Community Farm’s Great Easter Egg Hunt (FREE!!) will take place on Saturday 9 April! Open to children aged 1 to 10 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Session 1 : from 1 to 2pm – Session 2 : from 2 to 3pm.

Shingle Inn Easter Eggstravaganza | Brisbane

Come to Shingle Inn City Hall this Easter and adults will get a Mini High Tea including unlimited tea or coffee. Children will get a Kids High Tea including decorate your own Easter Bunny biscuit, lucky door prize, Easter Egg hunt, & guess the eggs event. Fun for the whole family. 

Friday 15 April – Good Friday

Bluewater Festival | Shorncliffe 

Organised by the Sandgate Bayside Chamber of Commerce, the famous Bluewater Festival held at Shorncliffe Pier is one not to be missed and a memorable day out with family and friends. The Bluewater Festival is held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. It’s a perfect vantage point to watch the start of this iconic race plus an opportunity to see the Multihull Yacht race start up close off the Pier. Head to Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe for FREE entry to the food festival, markets, entertainment throughout the day including live bands, kids’ activities, rides, and fireworks in the evening. 8am-7pm.

Festival of Sails | Redcliffe 

This Good Friday, point the steering wheel towards Redcliffe and spend the day by the seaside at the Redcliffe Festival of Sails! Packed with fun the whole family will love this Easter and the best vantage point to catch the historic Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race, there’s no better place to kick off the long-weekend. The kids will love exploring the event site via the FREE Easter Bunny’s Brisbane Easter Egg Hunt. Collect your treasure map and follow the clues to collect your eggs! Redcliffe Festival of Sails is bursting at the seams with fun for the kids including the Kids Zone jam-packed with children’s entertainment, stalls and activities. Easter on the Esplanade | Surfers Paradise 

Yes, this event is not technically in Brisbane but it looks great! Get eggcited because the Surfers Paradise Esplanade will be turning into an Easter Paradise! Prepare to indulge your sweet tooth with chocolate deliciousness everywhere. Enjoy themed decorations and the vibrant atmosphere, local handmade gifts, epic beats, sweets and treats, and an endless amount of fun and activities for the little bunnies. 4pm-9pm. Easter Eggstravaganza | Sandstone Point 

Hop on over to the annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Sandstone Point Hotel this Easter Sunday! The Easter egg hunt is back with over 6,000 eggs to find! Want to give it a crack? The egg-citement keeps coming! Enjoy live music, kids rides, entertainment, and Australia’s largest inflatable theme park, The Inflatable Factory. Plus a visit from the Easter Bunny! Easter Fun at Home
