What better way to spend an evening than outdoors watching a movie under the stars?
City of Gold Coast Movies Under the Stars program is free, family-friendly fun! Gather your family and friends, pack a picnic or take advantage of the delicious food options available.
Some of the films that are screening this festive season include: The Santa Clause 3, Dr Seuss’ The Grinch, and Elf. Movies screen in various Gold Coast locations.

Gold Coast Mayor’s Christmas Carols 2025
Mayor’s Christmas Carols returns to HOTA on 6 & 7 December with two nights of festive entertainment. Enjoy performances by Ricki-Lee, Lenny Pearce, the Looney Tunes Christmas Show, plus Santa and a fireworks finale.
Free tickets for the Outdoor Stage drop 17 & 18 November.
No ticket? Watch the live screening in the HOTA Parklands with food trucks from 4pm.
