Sun, surf and Sunday markets on the Gold Coast. What is not to love?! One of our favourite free things to do on a Sunday morning is to grab a coffee and get our shop on at Gold Coast markets with so many talented local creators selling their wares and growers offering some of the freshest produce in South East Queensland.

Sunday markets on the Gold Coast can also be an easier shopping with kids option as often there is more room for children to run and plenty of family friendly deals to be had. If you’re looking for the best Sunday Gold Coast markets we have got the list for you! Don’t forget to check the weather before heading out.

1. The Village Markets

The Village Markets is where we go to treat ourselves to something special. The market was originally created to provide local creative small businesses with a platform to launch their products and it has grown so much since it started in 2008. Expect to find a curated line-up of creative market stalls in fashion, vintage, art, beauty and lifestyle products, pre-loved designer and vintage rack sales, street food, live music and good vibes.

  • Dates: The 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month
  • Times: 8:30am – 1:00pm
  • Location: Burleigh Heads State School Oval, Lower Gold Coast Highway, Burleigh Heads
  • Parking: There is limited parking on the School oval. Entry and exit is via the Lower Gold Coast Hwy.

2. Coolangatta Markets

Held every 2nd Sunday of the month, this Gold Coast market is located straight off the beach on the Ocean Way path making it pram friendly. We have purchased beautiful gifts from local artisans at this market and over indulged in so much delicious street food from the pop-up food stalls.

  • Dates: Every 2nd Sunday of the month and 4th Sunday in five Sunday months
  • Times: 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • Location: Held in Queen Elizabeth Park off Marine Parade, on the beachfront, opposite The Strand Shopping Centre
  • Parking: Ample parking is available on the Esplanade and surrounding streets as well as in The Strand Shopping centre

3. Broadbeach Markets

We found the Broadbeach Markets centrally located in the park adjacent to the Kurrawa Surf Club and the Oasis Shopping Centre. Local creators and makers frequent this Sunday market on the Gold Coast to sell jewellery, skincare, fashion, homewares and more. There is something for everyone.

  • Dates: Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month
  • Times: 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • Location: Held in Kurrawa Park on the beachfront opposite the Oasis Shopping centre
  • Parking: Plenty of metered parking is available on Old Burleigh Road and surrounding streets as well as in the multi-level Oasis Shopping centre car park

4. Carrara Markets

Carrara Markets is the biggest permanent weekend marketplace in Australia with over 300 stalls covering 24 acres so don’t forget your walking shoes. When we visit we always end up buying a mix of fresh produce, secondhand books, fashion, homewares, plants, bric a brac, toys and more.

This Gold Coast market also has so much on for kids! Our girls loved the pony rides, bungy trampolines and face painters. We also saw a heap of kids snuggling baby animals in the petting zoo, having a hit at mini golf, exploring the walk in butterfly house and having a skate at Rollerama, the new onsite roller skating arena.

5. Paradise Point Markets

The Paradise Point markets is a small community market selling arts and crafts, fruit and vegetables plus some street food. It is a great option for when you want to support local small business by grabbing a few essentials in addition to the odd treat.

  • Dates: Every fourth Sunday of the month
  • Times: 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • Location: Held in the Paradise Point Parklands off The Esplanade running from Falkinder to Victor Avenues
  • Parking: Ample on street parking is available as well as parking in the Paradise Point Community Centre and Paul Scanlan Oval off Community lane

6. Burleigh Heads Markets

When we are looking for Sunday markets on the Gold Coast that sell incredible art this is where we go. The Burleigh Heads Markets is the longest running Art and Craft market on the Coast. You can check out some of the best crafts people on the Gold Coast then chill out on the grass with delicious eats while unwinding to the sounds of the ocean and local musicians. It is an idyllic way to spend a Sunday morning out with the kids.

  • Dates: Every last Sunday of the month

  • Location: Held in Justins park off The Esplanade running from 1st to 3rd Avenues

7. HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets

Every Sunday, the Home of the Arts (HOTA) comes alive with in-season farm-fresh produce (with plenty of organic fruit and veg options), delicious artisan foods, boutique fashion and handcrafted wears. This Sunday markets on the Gold Coast is nestled against the backdrop of the Evandale lake and the stunning HOTA landscape. During our frequent visits to this market we go big, snapping up heaps of delicious food, snacks and beverages before settling in for a picnic on the HOTA lawns. The kids love it! However, do keep in mind this market is busy and at times it will feel like the entire Gold Coast is at the market too. Parking can also be painful, so consider using public transport and at the very least, leaving plenty of time in your schedule to stalk people for a carpark.

8. Gold Coast Organic Markets

The Gold Coast Organic Farmers Market is the area’s first and only truly organic growers market, selling arguably the best quality and most nutritious produce available on the Gold Coast. We love that this weekly Sunday market on the Gold Coast sells 100% organic farm fresh produce. By buying organic foods, you are helping to ensure the humane treatment of animals, supporting the environment and reducing your families exposure to synthetic chemicals or genetically modified components. If shopping organic is important to your family, this is a great market option for you.

9. Her Wardrobe Markets

10. Canungra Village Markets

This Sunday markets on the Gold Coast is a community based market for farmers, bakers, growers, crafters, and everything else in between. Not only is there a great mix of secondhand and new goods for sale but it is also a beautiful spot to rollout a picnic rug to enjoy some yummy food. Plus, there is plenty of locally sourced fresh produce so head along and support local suppliers.

11. Beechmont Markets

The Beechmont Markets tick every box with breathtaking views, local produce, homemade goods, plants, craft, trash and treasure, a cafe, live music and more. This is truly a charming boutique country market at its best. Think homemade chutney and relish, trash and treasure, local manuka honey, scented candles, baked goods, ceramic pottery, crochet goodies and more! We love that kids face painting is available at the markets plus free kids craft. Take the kiddies along for a fun filled morning. Pack a picnic rug and enjoy the view.

12. Yatala Drive In Boot Bargains Market

At this Gold Coast market, you can load up your whole car/boot with anything you can find from vintage items, clothing and accessories to kids and big boy toys and sell it to the masses that gather monthly at the market.

13. Hope Island Marina Markets

The Marina Markets stretch along the waterfront at Hope Island Shopping Centre and feature live music, handmade crafts, specialty gifts, homewares, jewellery, children’s clothing, pet treats and more. We found this market had a really nice relaxed vibe and is perfect for a rejuvenating Sunday stroll along the water.

  • Location: Hope Island Shopping Centre, 10 Santa Barbara Road, Gold Coast

14. Our Community Market

Our Community Market is full of surprises for the whole family offering an ever changing workshop line up for both kids and their adults. That’s not to mention the fresh produce stalls, breakfast with waterfront views, sweets, massage services and more.

15. Tamborine Mountain State School Markets
