SEA LIFE on the Sunshine Coast is the perfect place to take the kids for a day out! Keep reading to learn more.
SEA LIFE on the Sunshine Coast is located in Mooloolaba, just 1 hour north of Brisbane.
My family and I decided to go to the Sunshine Coast so we planned a trip to SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba. We had not been for a year or so, and we wanted to visit again. Our children, now 3, 5 and 7 have always loved visiting and seeing all the ‘sea creatures’.
Hands-on interactive underwater fun

When you enter SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, the first thing you notice is the interactivity they’ve embedded throughout the aquarium. From the minute you walk in the door, you get to touch and hold sea stars, sea cucumbers and other underwater friends. If you have kids who like to touch, they’ll be just fine here! The expert staff is on hand to help you enjoy the adventure!
There are so many varied displays and tanks with any manner of underwater friends from the Little Blue Penguins, Seahorse Sanctuary, Ocean Tunnel, Tidal Touchpool, Coastal Wreck, Seal Island (personal favourite), Jellyfish Kingdom, Finding Dory and Friends, and Shipwreck Shores. See them all by clicking here.
There are also numerous presentations and talks by the expert staff – again, my favourite, the Seal Presentation!
Get up close and personal with the animals

You can book an ‘up close and personal’ experience with the penguins, seals, and sharks or book your next birthday party at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast!
In addition to visiting the penguins on your journey through the aquarium, you can now step inside the penguins’ habitat for a Penguin Encounter! This unique experience allows you to meet the cheeky birds up close, hand-feed them a fishy feast, go on a behind-the-scenes tour, and discover how the team cares for the colony.
