Movie World White Christmas | Everything you Need to Know

Movie World White Christmas is an incredible event for the whole family. Every year Movie World puts on a dazzling display of lights, decorations, street performances, music, and a spectacular Christmas parade. Of course, no White Christmas would be complete without the magic of snow! That’s right, you can take your children to experience a traditional Christmas winter wonderland while staying right on the Gold Coast.

When is Movie World White Christmas on in 2023?

Movie World’s White Christmas runs on selected dates from Friday 8th December to Saturday 23rd December. Each night the events runs from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

What to see & do at Movie World Christmas 2023

There is so much to see as you walk through the transformed theme park. The main street of Movie World will be lit up with one million Christmas lights. 

There will also be street performers and carollers to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

The highlight of the White Christmas at Movie World is the Christmas Float Parade. Your family will be dazzled by Christmas floats, singers, and dancers. Of course, no Christmas parade would be complete without Santa himself! There are five precincts for your family to explore:

Gaze in awe as you wander down Main Street, the home of Christmas cheer. Feel the magic of glittering fairy lights as they illuminate Main Street and enjoy entertainment, excitement, food, Christmas characters, music and so much more. Enchanting, soft snowflake bubbles also create the illusion of a beautiful winter’s evening as you stroll through Main Street with delicate snow falling to create a true ‘White Christmas’ experience.

Celebrate the wonder and excitement of the most enchanting Christmas parade nightly from 8pm featuring a spectacular extravaganza of magical lights, Christmas characters, magnificent floats and embrace the delightful spirit of Christmas.

Christmas Tree 

Gather around Movie World’s dazzling Christmas tree for the perfect Christmas photo. Witness the magic of the sparkling lights on the tree and take advantage of an impressive backdrop for that perfect family photo. 

Santa’s Village

Howdy Partner! This special Christmas precinct is filled with glee and flavoured with a hint of the Wild West. Make sure you seek out Santa to tell him your secret Christmas wish, plus you can watch and listen to a new Christmas tale show brought to life by the Looney Tunes and don’t forget to join Tom and Jerry for their very own Christmas cooking show! You can also meet some of your favourite Christmas characters in Santa’s Village, so don’t miss out!

Swing into the Christmas Crossing precinct and experience the most wonderful time of the year by meeting some of your favourite characters and enjoy a swinging Christmas show! Plus, don’t forget to snap a photo with your favourite Looney Tunes duo, Bugs and Lola Bunny, in their Christmas outfits!

Kids’ WB! Fun Zone

Where fantasy comes alive for children of all ages. Experience the magic and thrills of the Looney Tunes rides designed especially for our youngest guests. You will also meet your favourite characters, including Tom and Jerry and the Looney Tunes.

What does Movie World White Christmas cost?

General admission is $69 for a child (3-13 years) and $89 for an adult online. Alternatively, you can purchase an annual pass to Movie World, Wet n Wild, Sea World and Paradise Country and receive a complimentary ticket to White Christmas. These ‘locals’ annual passes can range in price with new passes for locals priced at $219 each at the time of writing. If you live in Queensland, or you’re in Northern News South Wales (postcodes 2450-2490), these are a great option for a full year of fun.

Upgrade options

There are lots of upgrade options to add to your White Christmas experience. You can choose to pay for additional experiences including:

  • Becoming an Elf at the Elf Club for kids  – $50 per child
  • A Meet Santa paid photo experience – $50 per child
  • Mrs Claus’ Christmas Buffet Feast – $69 per adult, $28 per child
  • Decorating baubles, gingerbread, and stockings – $25 for two items, $35 for three
  • Find Frosty’s Missing Buttons – $20 per child for one, $30 for two
  • The Workshop Wings pack (for when you get hungry!) – $25
