Laser tag, also known as ‘Laser Skirmish’, is an action-packed game for people of all ages. The players wear electronic vests and ‘tag’ each other with laser guns known as ‘phasers’ to score points.

Don’t worry, the lasers are just for show and to help you aim; they meet strict safety requirements. Often played in different formats, laser tag can be played as a solo game, team game or even have bases where devices (aka bases) can be tagged for extra points.

Laserforce

Located in the inner-city suburb of Woolloongabba, Laserforce is Brisbane’s one-stop destination for indoor interactive entertainment that puts players in control. First, you’ll start off in the Briefing Room where you’ll become initiated as a Space Marine and learn the basics from the professionals. Then suit up into your Laserforce designed battle armoury that is fully synchronized to the arena allowing for real-time interaction. Next, you’ll enter the mammoth 600m2 two-tiered arena and battle not only against other players, but against Warbots and the Jade Serpent to earn extra points. The Time Vortex is the latest addition to the area, inviting you to seek out the glowing entry portal, destroy time crystals and step through the vortex into an interstellar dimension. 

Laserforce also is home to the Laser Labyrinth Maze Challenge, challenging you to dodge lasers and race the clock to deactivate the lasers without breaking any of the beams. Lastly, the Laserforce Arcade is also packed with new and retro video games and has great prizes on offer.

Laserforce is for everyone, from individuals to groups, you can jump into a match with other players. Whilst the youngest recommended age is 7, Laserforce remains competitive no matter your age. To play you require a Laserforce Membership Card, costing $3 for a lifetime membership. Prices vary depending on how many missions you choose to partake in, with one costing $10.00 for juniors (aged 15 and under). There is also group and specials pricing with Wednesday Night Student Specials, Kids Days and Party Nights on offer. There are also various Party Packages available to suit any budget.

Laserzone Brisbane

Laser tag at Laserzone Lawnton

Visit Laserzone Lawnton to experience the world class, indoor multi-level arena for yourself! Adults and kids alike will enjoy the 40 packs, 8 base stations and 60 multi-functional targets in the arena that give players access to special abilities such as Rapid Fire, Stealth, Shields, Score Multiplier and even Invincibility. Prices range from $19 for a one-hour pass to $29 for two hours. As Laserzone offers more than just laser tag, this price includes use of the laser tag arena, a bumper car ride and arcade access with an arcade credit.

Laserzone also offers ‘Laser Sports’ where leagues of players compete in tournaments and helps to develop fitness, hand-to-eye coordination, teamwork and communication skills. Junior League is for those aged 8-14 and is the perfect way to get your kids active and fit. This is the first stepping-stone into the world of Laser Sporting as experienced players help guide new players to develop their laser tag skills. Senior League is for ages 13+ and caters for beginners to those with advanced skills levels. The use of a unique handicapping system allows equal opportunity to all players regardless of their experience.

Urban Xtreme

Urban Xtreme Adventure Park in Hendra

Play like a pro at Urban Xtreme’s classic indoor multi-level arena with the world’s most advanced “Helios Laser Tag’ system. Tagging your opponent is just the start; you’ll get to work as a team to protect your base, avoid infections or capture the flag, all whilst working on your laser tag skills!

You can also participate in Laser League – a weekly social tournament to meet new people and have fun. Junior Laser League runs every Thursday from 4:00 – 5:30pm and your first session is free. Laser Skirmish

Laser Skirmish is outdoor laser tag, played in the forest, bushland or rainforest. With three Brisbane locations in Brisbane West, Brisbane Bayside and Brisbane North, Laser Skirmish has a field near you! Specialising in birthday parties, this is perfect for kids and ‘tweens who love an action-filled adventure. The Army Parties in the forest are suitable for primary school aged kids and their families.

You must wear long pants past your ankles (think tights and leggings are not suitable), and covered shoes like hiking boots or runners. Prices vary depending on the group size, but for 30+ players it’s $24 per person.

Laser Skirmish can also bring the party to you with their sister company “Laser Tag in a Box”.
