Where to see Gold Coast Fireworks

There’s nothing like the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast – especially when the sky is illuminated by beautiful fireworks displays. Whether you’re part of a family with young children or you’re young at heart, the colour and the spectacle of fireworks never fails to delight.

Carols on the Beach

Starting at 6 pm, Carols on the Beach is a brilliant (and free!) way to get into the Christmas spirit with your family. The fun ends with fireworks at 8pm, which is definitely worth staying for. The kids will adore the music, the atmosphere, and the amazing light show afterwards. You may even get a glimpse of the big guy in red.

New Year’s Eve

This is it – the ultimate in fireworks displays. The Gold Coast will be out to set the skies alight with fantastic displays of light and colour. With a backdrop as beautiful as the Gold Coast – the ritzy high rises, the fabulous white sandy beaches and turquoise waters – you can’t ask for a better place to ring in the New Year.

With a whole host of locations to see spectacular sky shows, there’s something to suit everyone!

  • Broadwater Parklands: 9pm
  • Surfer’s Paradise: 8pm and midnight
  • Robina: 9pm
  • Paradise Point: 9pm
  • Upper Coomera: 9pm
  • North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club: 8pm
  • Chinderah: 9pm (NSW)
  • Salt Village Kingscliff: 9pm (NSW)
  • Club Banora: 9pm and midnight (NSW)
  • Jack Evans Boat Harbour: 9pm and midnight (NSW)

Please note: There are no fireworks or beachfront events on New Year’s Eve in the Byron Bay area this year. However you can check out ‘Soul Street’ a family-friendly event featuring interactive shows at allocated spots along Jonson Street instead.

Australia Day

One of Australia’s largest celebrations, Australia Day is always topped off with a beautiful fireworks show on the Gold Coast. Evandale Park is a gorgeous place to spend the day until the sky turns dark, and there’s plenty of fun events on offer to keep everyone entertained.

Seafire

Seafire is a brilliant fireworks competition held at Surfer’s Paradise each year, where pyro-technicians try to outdo each other with stunning light displays.
