Garden City Library has Books, Games & Activities for Families

Where is Garden City Library?

Garden City Library is located in the Garden City Shopping Centre on the corner of Logan & Kessels Road, Upper Mt Gravatt.  They can be contacted on (07) 3403 7745.

Garden City Library Facilities & Resources

The facilities at Garden City Library include: after hours chute, colour printing, disabled toilet, display television, study room, meeting room, photocopier, scanner, wheelchair accessible, Wifi, word processing and Xbox.  The meeting room is available for bookings and after hours access.

This is an online learning facility providing learning resources and software. Bookings must be made with the library. Bookings for internet use in the Learning Lounge can be made over the phone.

Activities for Children at Garden City Library

  • First 5 Forever Toddler Time; meet other parents and toddlers for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn action rhymes and songs which will help your child’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged 1-3 years. The First 5 Forever initiative is funded by the Queensland Government.

  • Babies, Books and Rhymes; meet other parents and babies for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn songs and action rhymes to nurture your baby’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged up to two years.

  • Children’s Storytime; experience the magic of storytime with your child at the library. This interactive session includes stories, songs and creative early literacy experiences for children. Ideal for children aged 2-5 years.

  • They also have regular workshops, sessions and activities for adults on a wide range of topics.

Normal hours:
Closed on public holidays
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am – 5.30pm
Thursday: 9am – 8pm
Saturday: 9am – 4pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm
