The facilities at West End Library include: an after hours chute, wi-fi, word processing and a photocopier.  There is also a selection of books in Greek and Vietnamese available.

Activities for children at West End Library

West End Library always welcomes families and children.  During the school holidays, they will hold extra activities and performances which are mainly free or low cost.  You do often need to book in for these activities.  They also hold regular activities for children which include;

  • First 5 Forever Toddler Time; meet other parents and toddlers for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn action rhymes and songs which will help your child’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged 1-3 years. The First 5 Forever initiative is funded by the Queensland Government.

  • Babies, Books and Rhymes; meet other parents and babies for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn songs and action rhymes to nurture your baby’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged up to two years.

  • Children’s Storytime; experience the magic of storytime with your child at the library. This interactive session includes stories, songs and creative early literacy experiences for children. Ideal for children aged 2-5 years.

  • Toddler Time; Meet other parents and toddlers for a fun session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn action rhymes and songs which will help your child’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. Ideal for babies and toddlers aged 1-2 years.
  • There are also a variety of workshops and activities for adults on a wide range of topics.

Normal hours:
Closed on public holidays
Monday, Tuesday and Sunday: closed
Wednesday and Friday: 10am-5pm
Thursday: 10am-7pm
Saturday: 9am-4pm
