Kids!  Now that you’ve had them, the buck stops with you to raise them.  You’ve got to keep them safe, happy, healthy, fit, challenged, educated, entertained and, if you’re lucky, occasionally out of your hair.  Oh, and apparently, you can’t let them stay glued to a screen all the time.

Toowoomba PCYC

The Toowoomba Police-Citizens Youth Club’s a great starting point when it comes to keeping your kids busy and happy, even if the weather’s not co-operating.  Open 6 days a week, it offers a smorgasbord of kids sports and activities, as well and before and after-school care, cultural and welfare programs and even an all-abilities program.

Some of the sports on offer include basketball, karate, Judo, gym and boxing, so it’s a great way to combine fitness and fun in a supportive and friendly environment.

Toowoomba Flyers Swimming Club

If you’re a kid in Queensland, you need to know how to swim.  Sure, it’s not on the beach but Toowoomba’s close proximity to great waterholes, creeks and rivers means swimming lessons are a no-brainer.  With its raft of prestigious awards and titles, the Toowoomba Flyers Swimming Club is well-placed to teach your kids to swim…and then how to swim FAST!  The Flyers caters for the tiniest of beginners right through to those who want to compete in swimming at an elite level.

All Stars Gymnastics Club, Toowoomba

Australian Navy Cadets Training Ship, Toowoomba

The Australian Navy Cadets Training Ship, Toowoomba (or TS Toowoomba) offers older kids from 12 to 19 the opportunity to participate in an innovative and practical program geared towards teaching them all aspects of seamanship including navigation, first aid, communications and rescue skills.  Wanting your kids to share your love of the water?  This Toowoomba kid’s club’s for your family!
