SunPAC Sunnybank Brings Kids’ Theatre Shows to the Southside

SunPAC Sunnybank Performing Arts Centre is the newest addition to the theatre scene in Brisbane, located in Sunnybank, it opened in 2016, and has a lot in store for Brisbane families!

It is a joint project between the Brisbane City Council and the Sunnybank Community and Sports Club, to deliver the Sunnybank Performing Arts Centre project (SunPAC), a new multicultural performing arts centre. This is a great day out for kids!

Where is the SunPAC Theatre located?

SunPAC Sunnybank is located at 470 McCullough Street, right next to D.M. Henderson Park.

The theatre is located adjacent to the Sunnybank Community and Sports Club and fronts McCullough Street with a foyer joining the new centre to the existing sports club. There is parking both behind the venue and in an underground carpark below the building with stairs and a lift accessing the main foyer.

What are the facilities like?

The centre includes:

  • theatre room with seating capacity for approximately 300 people
  • stage
  • prop room
  • rehearsal room
  • storage facilities
  • toilet facilities – with baby change
  • box office
  • foyer
  • snack bar
  • designated pram parking area while shows are on
  • underground car parking facilities and lift access to the centre.

What types of shows are on at SunPAC?

The performing arts centre accommodates a variety of programming including youth, family and festivals.

What’s On for Families at SunPAC Sunnybank?

We are pleased to let you know that children’s theatre will be a strong component of programming at the theatre. Ticket prices start at $20 and they have one price per ticket (no adults prices/children prices). They are looking into family tickets and will announce these details soon!
