Redland Bay State School seeks to develop students as lifelong learners. The school provides a wide range of programs, and works in partnership with parents and the broader community, to maximise students’ learning potential.

The school aims to develop social competence in students, developing them into capable, confident, independent and positive young people.

Redland Bay State School was established in 1881 and has a long and proud history, with fifth generations of families currently enrolled. The school maintains strong and productive links to the local community and retains a ‘country school feel’. It celebrates the local history and the Redland Bay environment by incorporating them into school activities.

Curriculum and Extracurricular activities offered:

Redland Bay State School has a strong music program with tuition in string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. It also has a number of clubs that have a focus on the performing arts.

There is an extensive sporting program, including after-school options, and a range of community initiatives that students can become involved with including support of charities and local ANZAC ceremonies.

The school has class excursions, and Year 5 and 6 students take part in school camps.

Facilities at Redland Bay State School:

The school has a Performing Arts Centre (PAC) that seats 400 people.  It has a massive stage with electric closing curtains, great lighting and sound. The PAC hall is used extensively by staff and students, and is also available for members of the local community to hire.
