San Training Centre, Beerwah

Shotokan Karate, Coolum Beach

These classes are run at the Coolum State Primary School and are suitable for kickers and choppers from ages 8 and up. The style taught here is Shotokan Karate which is a dynamic form of karate focused on power and speed. Follow the link to their website for more information.

Sunshine Coast Karate, Maroochydore

Strengthen your body. Focus your mind. Calm your spirit. This is a great venue for not only learning karate but immersing yourself in Japanese culture – language lessons in class context included! The instructors occasionally join in on the lessons as well – this is a place with a real community spirit. Infinity Martial Arts, Kawana Waters and Noosa 

This is a great choice for younger kids. There’s Fun and Fitness for the 2-4 age bracket, Playful Pandas for 4-7 and Mighty Monkeys for 7+ going up to 15 year olds. There’s a focus on FUN and the development of core life skills like listening and coordination. Infinity Martial Arts are growing with locations popping up all over Queensland – it’s easy to see why!

Combat Self Defence, Noosa

These are classes for martial arts Sunshine Coast kids in the 7-12 age bracket. There’s a focus here on LIFE skills like listening, respect, understanding and learning to deal with conflict. Held at the Noosa Leisure Centre on Mondays and Thursdays 5-6 pm during school terms, Combat Self Defence books up FAST. Get in early!
