Clayfield College is an independent, Uniting Church and Presbyterian predominately girls’ school in Clayfield. Both a day and a boarding school, Clayfield has much to offer your child.

Girls are encouraged to grow and learn as they develop in their faith in a Christian environment. To help students learn at their own pace, the school is separated into three campuses – a Primary School, Middle School and a High School. Each campus has been adapted to assist the individual needs of each group of students.

Clayfield College runs a whole school Bring Your Own Technology Program. This allows students to utilize technology they use in their everyday lives in their educational environment. The school believes that rather than banning this technology, it can be used to guide students in developing the skills needed to be productive and responsible digital citizens.

Clayfield College also runs Pastoral Care  for each campus of students. Tailored to each group of students’ levels, pastoral care includes involvement in the school’s house systems, personal development, student leadership, outdoor education, community service, behavior management and spiritual life.

What are the sporting/extra-curricular options at Clayfield College?

Students of all year levels are given the opportunity to take part in extra-curricular activities, including sports, music and cultural activities.

The sporting opportunities provided by Clayfield College from Primary School to High School include artistic gymnastics, Athletics, swimming, netball, softball, touch football, volleyball, tennis, cross-country and hockey.

Students who go to Clayfield College have a huge variety of music groups to choose from. These include Choral, strings, chamber, percussion and wind bands.

There are plenty of academic, cultural and hobby clubs for students to join as well. Primary students have the options of joining clubs for computers, knitting, arcades, the environment and lego. They can also work as Library Monitors or ICT Gurus.  For middle and high school students, there is a choice of academic, cultural and community service groups. These include debating, Amnesty International, Red Cross, UNICEF, UN Women, Peer Mentoring, Senior Artbox, Multimedia Club and Drama Inc.

Public transport is easily accessible at Clayfield College. There are plenty of bus stops around the school and the school is also serviced by a private bus line. The school is also just down the road from the Clayfield Train Station.

What are the boarding options at Clayfield College?

Clayfield Colleges offers full and weekly boarding options for students in Years 5 to 12. Girls have a choice from single ensuited rooms, twin share and dormitories and they have access to a variety of study and recreational rooms, including library rooms, music rooms and computer rooms. The school offers girls excursions and cultural activities as well as supervised weekend shopping trips and movie nights.

Does Clayfield College offer scholarships?

Clayfield College offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries. These include academics, sporting and cultural excellence scholarships. Students have a chance to sit a scholarship test.
