Have you been to Currimundi Lake?
Um… if you said no, why not? This is an AWESOME spot where you can enjoy everything the coast has to offer without worrying about crowded surf and big waves. The still water allows for plenty of sports like kayaking and paddling. There are naturally shaded areas to sit, relax and watch the day go by. Oh yeah, and there’s fishing to be had as well! (And yabbys to pump!)
Facilities at Currimundi Lake
If you want to hire any kind of sporting equipment there’s a kiosk near the beachfront that should have everything that you need.
Over at the beachfront (away from the lake where you’ll find the surf) there’s a patrolled beach with lifeguards. There are plenty of nearby playgrounds and cafes for families to make the most of, as well! Lots of walking and bike tracks as well – you can even get your bird-watch on!
The local area has a variety of toilets and change rooms and plenty of parking. It’s truly a haven for families with kids who aren’t interested in competing for space with muscle cars and loud music.
