Wynnum-Manly Seafood Festival | Family-friendly, fresh and fun!

*NOTE: THIS EVENT IS YET TO BE CONFIRMED FOR 2024

Have you missed The Wynnum Seafood Festival? We have good news – it was relaunched in 2019 as the Wynnum-Manly Seafood Festival!

The Wynnum-Manly Seafood Festival is back!

With a natural abundance of fish, shellfish, and crustaceans—and beautiful ocean and island views—Moreton Bay has long been a paradise for lovers of seafood. The Wynnum-Manly Seafood Festival is a smorgasbord celebration of the very best this region has to offer. This family-friendly fun- and food-filled event sees the return of The Wynnum Seafood Festival, taking over George Clayton Park on the lower Esplanade for a day of seafood sampling, competitions, fun events, music, markets and more. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

Tempt your Tastebuds

Plenty of food stalls with local and international flavours will ensure that even the fussiest of eaters will find something to tempt them. Local suppliers provide a menu that includes BBQ bugs, prawn skewers, crumbed calamari, seafood chowder, shellfish, Asian-fusion street food, Spanish paella, grilled salmon, and wild-caught fish and seafood platters.

Those less keen on ocean-based delicacies will be catered for with a variety of pop-up gourmet kitchens supplying meatier—and meat-free—alternatives, snacks and drinks. Parents (and other adults) will have the opportunity to quench their thirsts in the fully licensed bar and outdoor areas whilst relaxing to live music from local musicians.

Keep the Kids Entertained

Previous years saw some hands-on activities with real ocean creatures as well as children’s entertainment and activities. This year there will be amusements and rides to keep the kids entertained.

The fun continues!

There will be oyster shucking and a ‘Chuck The Limb In The Croc’ competition, plus the coveted Pollie Prawn Peeling trophy competition. Music will be provided by a number of local musicians, artists and bands throughout the day, and there are raffles to enter to win great prizes – including a boat!
