Indoor Roller Skating in Brisbane for Kids

Looking for an activity to get the kids out of the house and doing something active? Roller Skating is a great form of exercise that kids of all ages can enjoy – even the parents can join in too! Roller Skating helps to develop motor skills and is a fun and challenging activity for the whole family to join in on.

We’ve compiled a list of all the indoor Roller Skating rinks around Brisbane for you to find the one closest to you.

Digi Roller Skating Rink

Address: 34-38 Johnson Road, Hillcrest QLD 4118

Digi Roller Skating Rink is located just up the road from Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, Browns Plains. They have sessions from mid-week to Sunday afternoon. Their Saturday morning session includes their renowned Skate Stars program – a learn to skate program for beginners through to advanced skaters. All ages are welcome, and if you pass you will receive a certificate and progress to the next level.

The Roller Skating Rink also host Birthday Parties. Each party is given their own private booth and packages start from just $18 per person.

The Rink is open extended hours over school holidays and has All Day and Half Day Skate sessions from Monday to Friday. All Day Skate sessions are priced at $18 per person while Half Day sessions are $14 per person. Skates are available to hire, or if you’re experienced you can bring your own!

Skateaway Family Skate Centre

Address: 700 Albany Creek Road, Albany Creek QLD 4035

Skateaway Family Skate Centre is situated in Albany Creek, North Brisbane and is a fully supervised air-conditioned skate centre which, as the name suggests, is suitable for the whole family! They offer public sessions, birthday parties, learn to skate classes, skate shop and special events.

They hold sessions every Tuesday and Friday evening, Wednesday morning, plus weekends. Prices start at just $14.50 entry per person plus $6 skate hire. The rink hosts additional sessions during school holidays, held between 10-12pm and 2-4pm from Monday to Friday (plus some evening sessions).

The Roller Skating Rink holds Learn to Skate Classes for skaters of all ages and abilities, held every Saturday morning from 9-10am. Prices are $16 per person plus $6 skate hire, including free wrist guards. The class has accredited coaches and instructors, and skaters move through class levels at their own pace.

Skateaway Bundamba

Address: 21 Agnes Street, Bundamba, QLD 4304

Located next to Bundamba Railway Station, Skateaway Bundamba offer an entertaining venue that appeals to children of all ages. Kids will love the atmosphere with the latest music and video clips appearing on the big screen. Skateaway are home to some of the latest in arcade games and they run dancing competitions, special events and giveaway prizes. The venue is fully air-conditioned and smoke-free.

Sessions are held every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Prices start at just $15 per person plus $5 skate hire. Extended session times are made available over school holidays.

Skateaway host a Learn 2 Skate program every Saturday from 9 to 10am. It is a certificate programme held by qualified coaches. Prices are $20 per person plus skate hire for $5.

The Skating Rink also hosts birthday parties starting at just $20 per person for a 2-hour session, including admission and skate hire, as well as food, music and a host to look after the party. A table reservation is $20 (if over 20 guests). For $25 per person, the fee includes a 2.5 hours Learn 2 Skate session.

Stafford Skate Centre [Permanently closed]

Sadly the Stafford Skate Centre has permanently closed.
