These DIY nail polish marbled gift tags are a unique and fun way to jazz up your gift wrapping. No two tags will ever be the same meaning each gift will have a tag that is an individual work of art.
There are just 5 easy steps to create these tags, and you’ll probably have everything you need at home already #winning
You will need;
- A deep take-away food container. Something you won’t want to use again
- A paddle pop stick or bamboo skewer for stirring
- Nail polish in red, green or glitter
- Some scrap newspaper to make a mess on
- Some plain white gift tags (make them yourself, or you can buy them for about $2 at any bargain shop)
- Wire rack to dry tags
How to make Nail Polish Marbled Gift Tags:
Step 1: Fill the take-away container with water
Step 2: Drop in about 6 to 7 drops of nail polish, do this one colour at time. Once you have added all the nail polish colours you like, use the paddle pop stick to swirl the water
tep 3: Dunk the gift tag fully into the container so it is completely covered, and remove quickly
Step 4: Set aside on a wire rack to dry
Step 5: Repeat for each tag
The Nitty Gritty:
- This is messy! Best to wear gloves
- Make sure to try this outside or in a well ventilated room
- Works great on white gift boxes too (I got mine at the bargain shop)
- You can use cheap nail polish, probably best not to use the good brands for this!
I’m gathering ideas for me to recycle my old nail polish and this definitely one of the things I’ll try. Perfect for Christmas gift wrapping.
