Facilities at Milne Bay Aquatic Centre

Milne Bay Aquatic Centre has a range of great facilities to suit everyone – whether you want to swim for exercise, fun, or just want bring the kids along to wear off some energy, we’ve got you covered!

Milne Bay Aquatic Centre offers:

  • Indoor 25 metre pool
  • Outdoor Olympic sized (50 metre) pool which is heated in winter
  • Spa and sauna
  • Wave pool and inflatables
  • Water slide
  • Gym
  • Pool side kiosk and café
  • Water spouts and mushroom waterfall

Activities and classes

There are a whole range of fun activities and classes on for people of all ages and ability at Milne Bay – there’s sure to be something to suit you and your family.

At the 50 metre Olympic sized pool, enjoy lap swimming, aqua aerobic classes, swim squads, snorkelling sessions, and kid’s active programs during the summer months. They even offer a dive-in movie program!

What else?

Aside from the pools, Milne Bay Aquatic Centre also has a fully functional gym offering boot camp and aquatics classes, as well as aqua cycling. Why not try out something new and fun while getting fit?

Milne Bay is also home to the Milne Bay Military Museum, which is well worth a look. Located in a building known as the Drill Hall and dating from 1917, the museum is home to a range of military artefacts relevant to the Darling Downs and South East Queensland areas.

The centre’s kiosk and café offers traditional food like hot chips, sausage rolls and ice creams that harken back to your childhood. They also provide snacks and light meals, so sit back, relax, and sip on a coffee while your kids have a ball on the slide and in the wave pool.
