A Guide To Kid Friendly Caboolture Restaurants

It’s great to discover there’s a growing range of Caboolture restaurants offering family friendly dining! Finally, it’s being realised that taking the kids out for tea should go much further than grabbing a Happy Meal or bucket of KFC.  That’s not to say fast food has no place in a family’s busy lifestyle, but familiarising kids with restaurant etiquette is great for their social development.

Here then are some Caboolture Restaurants with something on the menu for all members of the family.

Scott Damien’s on the Lake - caboolture restaurants

Scott Damien’s on the Lake

Located on King Street, Caboolture and open for lunches and dinners Tuesday through to Saturday, Scott Damien’s on the Lake is an award winning family owned restaurant. Patrons can enjoy tranquil views over the Caboolture River and lakes while enjoying a meal from the extensive menu.

Families are well looked after and there are coluring activities available to children to keep them entertained while waiting. The children’s menu offers pastas, fish or nuggets and chips as well as desert.

Sizzler – permanently closed

Caboolture families looking for easy-going kid-friendly dining have long favoured Sizzler on Morayfield Road. With a layout, décor and menu consistent with the franchise’s branding, its success relies on its proven formula.

For parents, one of the best things about taking kids to Sizzler is allowing them to explore the range of food options at the salad bar. In a restaurant setting kids can often be encouraged to try new and different foods, especially when access to the desert bar is an appealing reward.

Children’s meals are also available from the menu and usually include access to the salad bar. If you need to cater for picky eaters, Sizzler might be your salvation!

Caboolture is also home to a number of clubs and taverns offering family friendly dining and menus. Notably the Caboolture RSL and Morayfield Tavern have undergone recent refurbishments and may be worthwhile having another look at.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just wanting some time away from the kitchen, there are plenty of family friendly Caboolture restaurants to enjoy a night out with the kids. Is there one you’d recommend?
