Flying Fox Studios is a Brisbane owned and operated family business with a commitment to children and the arts. They run Kindermusik, ZoomArt, and Fox Blocks as their regular weekly classes, and also offer PlayDates on selected Wednesday mornings as well as a fabulous (and very popular) school holiday activity program. Each week hundreds of children pass through their doors, participate in their classes and enjoy their family friendly facilities.
Flying Fox Studios believe in promoting the enjoyment of a life lived creatively. Flying Fox Studios programs
Fox Blocks
Fox Blocks is a unique and innovative engineering and construction program for kids. Developed by Flying Fox Studios educators and run in Brisbane since 2009, Fox Blocks is one of Brisbane’s longest running STEM focused kids extracurricular activities.
Fox Blocks classes combine STEM concepts in a fun and creative way, with weekly classes for children from 3.5 years of age to Grade 7. The Fox Blocks program is so much more than one single branch of the STEM tree. Whether it be learning about physics by building a theme park, discovering historical engineering with the wonders of the world, or coding an arduino powered traffic light, Fox Blocks is unique in every way.
Flying Fox Studios opened in their Everton Park location in 2006, and have since seen thousands of children attend their classes and workshops. They also have a wonderful children’s store on site, stocked full of hand picked toys and gifts chosen to support their love of creative play and learning.
ZoomArt for Kids
Art classes for kids in a fun and friendly environment! ZoomArt for Kids is a fun, active way of learning. The ZoomArt programme by Flying Fox Studios is designed for the intentional development of the child’s skills, observations, thinking and experiences in the visual arts. Structured around themes, each unit covers range of visual art media, techniques and experiences. Scribblers and Zoomers also use story, games and drama to complement the theme and provide a stimulating interactive environment.
In each group class skills are developed, practiced and refined, with the teacher acting as a guide towards discovery and learning. Skills in drawing are developed from the early classes. As the children mature, “guided experimentation” is the dominant methodology employed, with children being taught to experiment and encouraged to learn from each other and the teacher.

Kindermusik at Flying Fox Studios’ teachers are passionately committed to bringing music to children’s lives through developmentally appropriate curricula, CDs, books, instruments and activities for their classes and family time at home.
