The annual Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival returns from October 29-31, 2021. Your kids will love spotting literally hundreds of scarecrows along the 17km self-drive trail through beautiful Tamborine Mountain.
Everyone and anyone on the mountain are encouraged to make a scarecrow and display it on the ‘Scarecrow Trail’ or in front of their homes or businesses. The Scarecrows on the Discovery Trail can compete in several categories, for great prize money and local fame. Young, old, clever, and artistically-challenged all participate, and the result is hundreds of scarecrows that have to be seen to be believed. Last years efforts even included Bluey and Bingo.
Why not make a game of it?! How many Scarecrows can you find? Who can spot the next Scarecrow first? Who can spot the most Scarecrows? See the Scarecrow Trail map here.
Families Magazine top tip: Pack a picnic to enjoy a relaxing lunch in one of the many scenic parks on the mountain or head up to the Gallery Walk to enjoy the many lolly shops, cafes, boutiques, and artisan craft stores. We especially love the German Cuckoo Clock Nest.
Families Magazine is online and in print, all about things to do with toddlers, kids and teens in Brisbane.
