Multicultural Australia presents ‘Our Journey’ | Brisbane

‘Our Journey’ is a celebration of the spirit and courage of refugees – in spoken word, world music, dance and film.
You’re invited to join Multicultural Australia on Sunday 21 August 2022 from 3pm at Brisbane’s iconic La Boite Theatre to experience an afternoon of sharing the talents and contributions of our diverse community.
This year ‘Our Journey’ includes an incredible selection of music, dance, spoken word, food and craft stalls, as well the screening of the Academy award nominated animated documentary film ‘Flee’.
‘Flee’ tells the extraordinary true story of a refugee man on the verge of marriage, which compels him to reveal his hidden past. Recounted mostly through animation, ‘Flee’ was nominated in the Best Documentary Feature and Best Animated Feature categories at the 2021 Academy Awards, and premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
