Kalbar Country Day | Kalbar

Kalbar Country Day is back on Saturday 18 of October 2025 from 7am-2pm with heaps of giant hay sculptures and plenty of family fun activities! This FREE event is guaranteed to capture the hearts and minds of kids as they go hay sculpture spotting across the beautiful country town that is Kalbar.
While the drive is just over an hour from Brisbane, it’s worth it for the chance to enjoy some good old-fashioned country hospitality mixed with rides for the kids, lots of stalls, homemade cakes, sweets, and jams, plus fresh fruit and vegies!
There will be something for everyone, from the popular carrot tossing, to a hay scramble for the kids. Plus, an animal farm and bus rides to the now famous Kalbar hay sculptures.
2025 hay bale sculpture highlights include Barb-Hay, Shaun the Sheep, Cinderella’s carriage, the Mad Hatter, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Hay’Mish & And’Hay’, Sant’Hay’ Claus, Superman and more!
We also highly recommend a visit to the Kalbar butcher while you’re in town plus the other boutique shopping available is impressive. So be sure to come prepared to shop!
