Every year on the 25th of April we pause to pay our respects and remember all of those who have served in our nation’s armed forces and have made the ultimate sacrifice. Here is a list of ANZAC Day services being held across the Brisbane suburbs and Ipswich (scroll to the bottom) in 2019.

  • 7.30am – Morning service – assemble to march in parade position along Evans Rd, near Standish St
  • 7.45am – Commence march, stepping off along Evans Rd, turning into Chrome St and Industries Rd past the Memorial and turning into the Park
  • 8am – Service at Memorial Park
  • 8.30am – Conclusion

Sandgate

Sandgate RSL Sub-Branch Inc. holds two commemorative services on ANZAC Day each year.
The early service (Dawn Service) commences at 06:00 and is a moving service. This is normally attended by approximately 1000 to 1500 who enjoy the salute to our Defence Personnel.
There is a 09:00 March down the main street of Sandgate, Brighton Road. The road that are adjacent to Brighton Road from Sixth Ave to Cliff Street are closed at the Brighton Road end until approximately 10:15. This service is attended by approximately 17 schools from the local area, local school bands and of course many Veterans. Some of the Veterans are currently serving or have served previously. It is a wonderful commemoration of the extremely necessary work that has been, is being, and will be done to protect us all from threats to our lives and Country.

DISTRICT COMMEMORATION SERVICE
7.30am March participants form up on the Sunnybank High School oval,
Boorman Street, Sunnybank, under the control of Parade Marshall,
Mr Harry Claassen.
8.00am The march commences along the route  South along Boorman Street  Turn right into Lister Street  Turn right into Gager Street  Past the Saluting Dais at the War Memorial  Turn right onto the Sunnybank State High School oval where
the march concludes.
8.30am The District Commemoration Service commences at the District
War Memorial in Gager Street
9.30am Service concludes and is followed by morning tea

Tennyson

*The Parade will step off at 7am from outside the Yeronga State School in park Rd, Yeronga. The Parade will travel along Park Rd, turn right through the Yeronga Memorial Park Gates into Honour Avenue and proceed to the Cenotaph

ANZAC Day marches and services in Ipswich

Are you in Ipswich and looking for local services and marches? Here are the details you need!

Ipswich CBD will see the march start at 10.45am (corner of Brisbane and Ellenborough Streets). A service will be held from 11.30am in the North Ipswich Reserve.

Booval

8am: Honour Stone, Cameron Park, Green Street. A march will take place from 7.55am from the corner of Green Street and Glebe Road.

Brassall

Dawn service at 4.27am at Ipswich Adventist School (56 Hunter Street)

Bundamba

  • 4.27 am – Honour Stone, Bundamba Memorial Park, Brisbane Road preceded by a march at 4.15 am from cnr Brisbane Road and Coal Street.
  • 9.15 am – Honour Stone, Bundamba Memorial Park, Brisbane Road preceded by a march  at 9.00 am from cnr Brisbane Road and  Coal Street.

Ebbw Vale

  • 4.15 am – Honour Stone, cnr Brisbane Road and Jordan Street.

Grandchester

Meet at 6am at Bigges Camp Park, Gordon Road

Ipswich

  • LIMESTONE HILL 6.30 am – Naval Cairn, 14 Queen  Victoria Parade.
  • RSL MEMORIAL GARDENS 4.27 am – Honour Stone, cnr Limestone and  Nicholas streets.  8.30 am – Honour Stone, cnr Limestone and Nicholas streets preceded by a march at  8.20 am from South Street.

Marburg

Meet at 7.30am at Marburg Community Centre, corner of Queen and Edmond Streets.

North Ipswich

Meet at 7.30am at the Honour Stone, Ipswich Railway Workshop. A march will be held from 7.15am at Smith Street. At 11.30am at the North Ipswich Reserve (the Terrace) there will be a service. A march will be held before that at 10.45am from the corner of Brisbane and Ellenborough Streets.

One Mile

  • 9.30 am – West Ipswich One Mile War Memorial, Old Toowoomba Road.

Pine Mountain

  • 9.00 am – Honour Stone, cnr Russells and  Pine Mountain roads.

Redbank

  • 4.27 am – Honour Stone, Redbank Memorial Reserve, Bridge Street.
  • 11.00 am – Honour Stone, Redbank Memorial Reserve, Bridge Street.

Redbank Plains

  • 4.27 am – The Cenotaph, Redbank Plains  Library Grounds.
  • 9.30 am – The Cenotaph, Redbank Plains Library Grounds preceded by a march at 9.20 am from the SES Depot located in Willow Road.

Rosewood

  • 4.27 am – Rosewood Memorial Hall, ANZAC Park, Mill Street preceded by a march at 4.15 am from The Rising Sun Hotel.
  • 9.30 am – Rosewood Memorial Hall, ANZAC Park, Mill Street preceded by a march at  9.00 am from Community Park, John Street.

Springfield Central

Service at 5.45am at the ADF Memorial, The Circle, Robelle Domain Southern Cross Circuit.

Woodend

6.30am at the Honour Stone at the junction of Roseberry Parade and MacGregor Streets.

    What happened to the Holland Park service this year ? It was good in 2017.
