Ferny Gove State High School provides well-resources teaching facilities with networked internet technology.   There is a large open-plan library, a sports hall, gymnasium, agricultural farm, a 350 seat tiered auditorium and sporting fields.

Camps are held for all year levels, right from the start – years 7 and 8 attend a camp in the first semester.  Languages students in year 9 are presented with an opportunity to engage in a weekend language and cultural camp on Stradbroke Island.

Students in year 11 can participate in a leadership camp, situated at Emu Gully, with individual and team building exercises.  Other year 11 camps include; Biology Camps, Instrumental Music Camps and Senior Drama Camps.

International language and cultural opportunities are provided to students in Germany and Malaysia including home stays and tours.

Depending on snow conditions, year 11 and 12 students are offered the opportunity to participate in a one-week ski trip excursion to either Mount Kosciuszko Park in NSW or The Remarkables in New Zealand during the winter holidays.  The program includes skiing and snowboarding lessons and fun evening activities.
