Back to School at Grand Central Toowoomba!

It seems hard to believe but it’s almost time to organise the kids to go back to school! It can be a stressful time but it definitely doesn’t have to be. Grand Central Toowoomba have you (and the kids!) completely covered.

Back to school – Grand Central Style!

Grand Central Toowoomba

Why does ‘Back to School’ have to be such a chore? This year Grand Central has created a series of Workshops and Services that will have you back enjoying your holidays in no time.

From Monday 8 until Sunday 21 January, Grand Central will introduce their first ever contact bar. Open from 10am – 4pm daily, parents can have their child’s books covered (without the hassle) for as little as a gold coin donation per book.

There are six exclusive contact designs for families to choose from and best of all, 100% of proceeds will be donated to Hope for our Children – a Toowoomba based charity that is dedicated to ensuring children within the foster care system are provided the best chance at a fresh start during their transition to a new home.

For students, there are several fun and interactive (and dare we say it – educational) workshops and guided tutorials to choose from.

Making Back to School FUN at Grand Central

Monday 8 – Sunday 14 January – Decorate your own library bag is a FREE workshop where attendees will be given a plain calico bag for them to decorate however they choose. Pens and decorations will be provided. Students may use their bags all year round when visiting the library or attending sports or extracurricular activities.

Saturday 13 January 10am and 11.30am – Style up your shoes* with this incredible workshop students will be guided through the process on how to make your one of a kind shoes. Finished by their choice of coloured laces to complete the look. For just $10pp (not including booking fee) all materials including canvas shoes will be provided.

Monday 15 – Sunday 21 January 10am – 1pm (daily) – Personalise a pencil case is a free workshop where by using fabric pens your child can transform a plain calico pencil case into a practical piece of art that is as unique as they are!  They will be so proud to take their personalised creation to class – and you won’t have to worry about getting confused with any other child’s!
