For ‘The Castle of Tarragindi’, Australian artist Natalya Hughes invites children to explore the imaginative artform of the ‘grotesque’ through hands-on and multimedia interactives. Grotesque designs are characterised by hybrid forms made up of parts of animals, plants, and other shapes.
The exhibition design features a striking blue and white colour palette, referencing grotesque imagery in the style of French designer Jean Bérain, combined with Australian flora and fauna. The setting is STUNNING and the activities are perfect for all ages.
