NAPLAN
Academic overview
NAPLAN results reported in the college’s annual reports indicate consistent literacy and numeracy performance across Years 5, 7 and 9. Most students achieve outcomes at or above national benchmark levels in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy. The school uses NAPLAN data alongside internal assessments to track student progress and identify areas for improvement. Teaching strategies emphasise explicit literacy instruction, structured writing development and targeted academic support where required. Ongoing professional learning for teachers and curriculum refinement also support these outcomes. Together, these approaches aim to strengthen foundational skills while helping students build confidence and capability as they progress through the middle and senior years.

📝 Enrolment details
Waitlist
Villanova College accepts enrolment applications primarily for Year 5 and Year 7 entry, with application periods typically opening two years prior to commencement. Families are encouraged to first register their interest through the College Enrolment Register before submitting a formal online application when the intake opens.

To secure a place, families must complete the Enrolment Agreement and pay the Confirmation of Enrolment fee within the specified timeframe.

Applications submitted after the main intake period may be placed on a waitlist depending on availability. The College may also review learning support information as part of the enrolment assessment process to ensure appropriate support can be provided.
