Just over five minutes from Caboolture you’ll find the perfect hands on farm experience for kids. White Ridge Farm is conveniently located only 60 minutes from the Brisbane CBD at Elimbah on the Sunshine Coast. The farm has great accessibility for all ages and abilities with super cute animals to feed, plenty of shaded spots for picnicking and a heap of fun activities to keep the kids busy.
Get hands on with animals at White Ridge Farm
White Ridge Farm offers families and kids of all ages the chance to fall in love with their well cared for animals. Visitors are given the opportunity to learn about, feed and pat a range of animals including goats, sheep, geese, alpacas, llamas, horses, cows, chickens, piglets, and a friendly camel. There is also an enclosure of baby farm animals, rabbits, and guinea pigs, where families can sit and pat the newest members of the farm.
Tractor rides with Farmer David
Once you’ve fed and brushed the fluffy and furry residents of White Ridge Farm, you can hop on a short tractor ride around the farm with Farmer David. It’s a fabulously fun bumpy ride where spotting gnomes, quirky trees including a ‘money tree’ and even a herd of dinosaurs is all part of the experience. Needless to say, the kids LOVED it!
Mini Putt Putt at White Ridge Farm
Included on the grounds of the farm is a 9-hole mini golf area. The course is well shaded and kids can play as many times as they like during their visit. It’s the perfect course for kids having their first hit but also challenging enough to keep the older children interested.
Playgrounds for all ages
Kids have no shortage of play options at White Ridge Farm with four separate play areas available. The two larger playgrounds include climbing frames and slides. For the younger kids, there’s a huge sandpit with trucks and toy vehicles, plus plenty of picnic tables. Perfect for a picnic pit stop! The farm also includes a safe and separate toddler playground.
If you’re not prepared for a picnic, Phelan’s Bakery (McKean Street, Caboolture) on the way through to White Ridge Farm has a range of fresh sandwiches, pastries, and cakes, perfect for hungry tums. You can also grab ice blocks, a selection of beverages and a sausage roll from the White Ridge Farm entrance area.
Horse riding at White Ridge Farm
If you can afford an extra $12 on top of the entrance fee we highly recommend letting the kids have a ride on the beautiful White Ridge Farm horses. Kids will be led by staff around a short 10 minute circuit. It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce children to larger animals and build their confidence.

White Ridge Farm is family owned and operated, and run with all the genuine friendliness that farming communities are loved for. Staff members are on hand throughout the visit to chat to families, help if needed, and engage children with the animals and learning.
