What is Urban Xtreme
Urban Xtreme is the ultimate indoor party and adventure centre located on Brisbane’s north side. It opened in late 2017 to bring the thrill of skiing and snowboarding to Brisbanites, and has continued to grow from there. In fact, Urban Xtreme is the largest indoor snow and sports centre in Australia!
Urban Xtreme has something for children of all ages, from Playland for tots to their newest addition: Xtreme Ninja and Parkour. Keep reading because there’s heaps to do there and we don’t want you to miss a thing!
Indoor skiing and snowboarding– Xtreme Ski
For the best skiing action this side of Thredbo, Urban Xtreme is the place to go! Their indoor dry ski slope is designed to help you learn the skills of downhill skiing and snowboarding without the hassle of snowburn, dehydration, lifts, queues, freezing cold weather and all the heavy snow gear that goes with it.
Whether you’re an experienced skier already or hitting the slopes for the first time, at Urban Xtreme you’ll get expert tuition from a team of fully qualified coaches who are all members of Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors.
Urban Xtreme lets you practice inside on simulators that give you an hour of skiing and snowboarding time on revolving slopes. If you were to do this in the real world, you’d be covering more than 20,000 vertical feet – yikes! Whizzing down the indoor dry ski slope has been shown to accelerate your learning by up to 8 times, so you’ll be skiing like a pro in no time!
You don’t get to muck around with an Xtreme snowball fight afterwards, but who knows – the way Urban Xtreme keeps on growing REAL snow could be somewhere on their to-do list! (Disclaimer: we don’t know if it is, but this place is already so cool real snow is the only possible way it could get any cooler!)
What ages can hit the ski slopes at Urban Xtreme?
Anyone from 4 years old to adult! All equipment is provided and the instructor can control the speed and incline of the slopes for your safety. Skiers and snowboarders are grouped according to age and ability to make sure you get the maximum enjoyment out of your time there, and snowboarders and skiers are never on the same slope at the same time.
Whatever your motivation for hitting the slopes, whether to simply have fun with friends or hone your competitive edge, there’s a tailored experience for your needs at Urban Xtreme.

Xtreme Jump is 500m2 of connected trampolines where the kids can show off their aerial skills, play dodgeball, and enjoy other fun trampolining games. Xtreme Jump is included in the Park Pass (see below for more details), and anyone over 4 years old can use the trampolines. Indoor laser tag – Xtreme Laser
Xtreme Laser is truly epic! Set on multiple levels, the Xtreme Laser arena was designed by leading Australian Laser Tag designers with the most advanced “Helios” laser tag system.
Xtreme Laser is included in the Park Pass (details below), with games lasting ten minutes each. You can play for fun with friends, or join the friendly competitive Laser League for a tournament experience.
What is laser tag?
Laser tag is a game of skill where players wear an electronic vest and carry a gun that fires harmless lasers. The aim of the game is to ‘shoot’ (tag) your opponents without getting shot yourself. The game can be played in teams or individually, and obstacles and ‘cover’ are provided in the arena. Once hit, your laser will power down for a short period of time and all ‘hits’ and ‘kills’ are recorded electronically to determine the winner. There may also be targets to hit for extra bonus points.
Who can play laser tag at Xtreme Laser?
Xtreme Laser is recommended for players aged 5-6 years and older, with up to 33 players in the arena at one time. The arena is dimly lit and set over multiple levels with access ramps. There is enough light to create atmosphere and be safe, but younger children may require a parent or older child to guide them.
Xtreme Laser also offers Laser League, a friendly professional laser tag competition for children aged 8 years and over. Check out the Urban Xtreme website for more details.

The Ninja Warrior course was designed by dedicated professional Ninja Warriors and has three lanes of elements with easy and challenging options to test your fitness, strength and agility. You can take on the Ninja Warrior Parkour course for fun as part of the Park Pass, or be trained by experienced coaches to take part in race nights and competitions.
Who can be a Ninja Warrior at Xtreme Ninja?
Anyone over the height of 120cm who feels they can negotiate the course can be a Ninja Warrior at Urban Xtreme. Eight year olds shorter than 120cm can participate as a birthday party guest. You don’t need to have any particular level of fitness, just a desire to give it a go and have fun.
