St Sebastian’s is a co-educational Primary School that provides a high-quality, inclusive Catholic education for Prep to Year 6.

The school is administered by Brisbane Catholic Education and encourages children to grow in the Catholic faith and develop values consistent with the teachings of Jesus. Each child is accepted as an individual and the focus is on enhancing all aspects of a child’s development – spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, social, cultural and moral – so that they can become responsible and active members of society.

St Sebastian’s promotes equality, justice and community involvement, and seeks to strengthen relationships between the school and the wider community.

Curriculum and extracurricular activities offered at St Sebastian’s:

St Sebastian’s curriculum covers the nine Key Learning Areas of English, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Health and Physical Education, Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE), Visual Arts, Cultural Literacy and Languages (LOTE), and Religious Education.

Specialist teachers are provided for Health and Physical Education, Japanese (LOTE) and Music.

Instrumental Music is a tradition at St Sebastian’s. Students are offered tuition in Strings, Brass, Woodwind and Percussion, as well as Guitar and Piano. The school has a jazz ensemble, concert band, a rock group and groups for percussion, strings and guitar. There is also a choir.

St Sebastian’s also provides students with the opportunity to learn Chess.

Facilities at St Sebastian’s School:

Facilities include an OSHC service, (7.00am- 9.00am & 2.30pm-6.00pm on school days) available for families of St Sebastian’s children. Plus, St Sebastian’s tuckshop operates on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 11.30am.
